The music was amazing. Blessed, surely the presence of the holy spirit was there! From the first song I had tears in my eyes. Both Natalie and Danny are gifted, and there music ministers to my soul. Thank you. I do have to say I have not been to a concert in 30 years. It was outside of my comfort zone. I did not know what to expect. The auditorium was decorated beautifully. The special effects were so lovely. I didn't expect the strobe lifts to effect me the way they did, I have severe vertigo and they set off a bad episode. I took my 78 year old mother, who also loved the experience , was touched greatly. She found the music holy spirit filled, but she is almost deaf, the music was so loud, she turned off her hearing aids. I was disappointed that we struggled with those things, but the assistant's seating people helped us find a seat that was much easier to enjoy the show! The kindness was amazing. We loved it!
*******************************************NOT RELATED TO NATALIE
One embarrassing issue for myself as well as others I'm sure, is when Natalie and Danny took a break and a man from Compassion international spoke. He went out of his way to state we were the most unfriendly crowd he had experienced. "Not clapping" and giving "glares", " the middle of the week tired crowd". I felt awful, put down or looked down upon. If his goal was to rev up the crowd or get donations it had the exact opposite effect! It hurt. Albuquerque people are kind, good, warm and lovely. We have a sense of family and community like no other. We have many God fearing, Christian people. I felt the crowd should have been more interactive, I was surprised. But it was in no way a reflection on Danny, Natalie, the concert or the staff. They were all splendid! The man even went out of his way to point out the "low budget" projector that was used and that the "count down " on the screen was unimpressive/ embarrassing even. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! Not OK, not Professional. Dampened my mood. We should not have been shamed.
Grammy Award nominated Nashville residing Natalie Grant is welcomed onstage to a loving applause from her adoring fans. This contemporary Christian singer is humble but confident in what she is doing this evening. She has a huge slew of eight studio albums that she has released over the course of the last thirteen years and the critical acclaim has been huge having won not one, not two but a staggering six GMA Dove Awards, having been nominated for twenty-five altogether.
Grant absolutely dominates this Christian music scene with four of her albums being top three, and her most recent album, “Hurricane” making it to number one, and number seventeen in the billboard 200 charts. Hats off to you Natalie Grant. Tonight, she is all about the singles, opening with a beautiful rendition of her number 4 song “Held” She follows this with her song “In Better Hands”, it is absolutely emotive, she almost sings it as thought it is a prayer with her audience raising their palms to the sky with their eyes closed. Her up-tempo song “Hurricane” is the moment of the set when everyone in the audience lets loose throwing their shapes. The musicality of Grant shining through as she boasts her huge range and “sure of herself” stage presence.
Natalie has such a special gift, her voice is amazing! The Bible study was also very good, We were created with purpose and to Shine in the darkness! Nothing more satisfying in the journey than to be in God's perfect will! It was an inspiring evening and near the end when we all held hands and prayed for each other when I opened my eyes I saw so many woman's eyes filled with tears. The Holy Spirit was with us! Thank You. The songs and music were amazing along with the messages! "Well done good and faithful servants." Kudos!
Absolutely amazing concert! Both Danny and Natalie knocked it out of the ballpark! They were so real! Could tell they loved God and his presence was so thick!! They have amazing hearts and took the time with all fans!
