Well this was my second show at brauer house and first for flatfoot 56.
I left the show with a busted up knee a bruise on my right arm the size of a chihuahua and my left elbow looked like it lost a fight with a paper shredder. I was covered in PBR, got kicked in the face by a stage diver and the ringing in my ears didn't go away for 2 days.
In other words, it was one of the BEST F IN NIGHTS of my life!!!
Not only were the opening bands great but FF56 rocked the shit outta that place with the same energy and voraciousness that's reflected on their albums. Rarely does a band sound as good, or better in this case, live as they do on recordings. I came in with high hopes and I was not disappointed. I will be at as many of their upcoming shows as possible as they have earned a new fan for life. Simply excellent.
Kaos
Absolutely amazing show. They started off with two new songs and delved into some older songs. The mix of song of old and new was great. Their rendition of Joe Strummer's Coma Girl was crazy good. They also mixed in a couple of classics like "You are my Sunshine" and "This land is your Land". As they were doing these songs they said let you neighbor know you care and put you arm around each other like a family. So the whole crowd was singing these songs swaying back and forth with arms around each other from the left and right side. It was pretty awesome and something you dont see too often. The bagpipes were incredible as well. The venue was small but the sound was very good. Please, please check these guys out. They are better live than the record without a doubt.
