Went to the show in Frederick, MD on 3/31. The sound at Cafe 611 is terrible. Most of the bands sounded bad, but somehow Archspire sounded much better. Maybe they're used to dealing with substandard venues.
Arkaik was there as well as a few more local bands. The local bands were not the best, in my opinion, although one of them did a couple of Sepultura covers that were nostalgic and made you want to sing along.
I'm very glad to hear that Archspire will have a new album coming out in a few months. They played some songs from it. They sounded pretty good, but again, due to the sound in the place, it was hard to know exactly how the songs sounded. There was a breakdown at the end of one of the new songs, which is most disappointing. What are they thinking?
Overall, it was hard to beat seeing one of my favorite bands for $16 even if the acoustics were far from ideal.
This was one of the best shows I have ever seen. The sound quality was excellent, the bands were awesome, and the venue was adequate. Archspire played Relentless Mutation in its entirety and it was metal AF. I was in the pit all night and the crowd was welcoming and had great energy. There were fans who drove from Canada to Somerville, MA just to see the show and they, along with everyone else, got one hell of an experience. I can't express just how awesome Archspire and the other bands in the line up are. I highly suggest seeing them if you can and I really appreciate how SongKick connects me to the shows I want to see most.

Archspire was amazing. They totally blew the roof off the venue. They're totally great guys too. I hung out with them after the show, and a buddy of mine brought them some local food to show them how it's done here in Louisiana. Super talented musicians; they really blew my mind. They were technical and clean as hell.
The show was also amazing in the sense that 3 of the bands on the lineup were all local bands that killed it in the same manner. Super awesome to see local bands playing on the level of some of the nationally touring bands.
Stay Tech!
I saw Archspire for the first time on their 2018 tour supporting Revocation, and they delivered. Super fast, super technical and super fun show! These guys are taking every instrument to the extreme, including the vocalist, which makes for a quite distinctive sound. Drummer plays ridiculously fast, even on the slow parts. Would definitely follow their work and see them again if they're in town!
Such fine musicianship is hard to match. An extremely talented, cohesive band is awesome to see! Someone mentioned that the crowd was great to show up on the same night Slayer was playing only 45mins away. For an older fan like me, who has seen Slayer a few times, I have those memories.
But this is Archspire! See them if you can!
It was amazing. Great execution, good sound, good show. Only thing to improve was... too many bands playing the same evening, with very small time slots, so the time of swapping bands/equipment was quite big compared to the actual show length.
Amazing band amazing show and they are amazing caring people. Put on such a good show. They literally sound exactly like they do on there albums. I can't wait to have the opportunity to see them again. Stay tech
