Biografía
The band currently consists of members Chris Roetter on lead vocals, Aaron Evans on bass, Zach Huston on rhythm and lead guitar, Eli Ford on lead guitar and Greg Diamond on drums. Roetter found the band in early 2010, having already been involved in a number of bands beforehand. He wanted to form his own band that could create a pure metalcore sound.
Signed to the record label Rise Records, the band has released two full lengths album and one extended play as of 2014. Their debut single was entitled ‘Dead Routine’ and was released early in their career, in February 2010. Since then, the band has risen in both success and fame, building a following of fans as the years progressed.
The band’s most well known songs include ‘Your Existence’, ‘You Won’t Be Missed’, ‘GNF’, ‘The Worst in Me’ and ‘I Solemnly Swear’. Their two studio albums, respectively released in 2011 and 2013, are called ‘When we Don’t Exist’ and ‘An Eye for an Eye’.
The band has toured with a number of acts including D.R.U.G.S., Hit the Lights and Sparks the Rescue. Bands that they are affiliated with or often compared to the band include The Plot in You and Crown the Empire.

Like Moths to Flame are a relatively recent band that hail from Columbus in Ohio, USA. The American band are heavy metal core rockers that have been working the circuit since 2010, to modest success. The band specialise in a very raw, very pure metalcore sound and the energy and passion in which they play their instruments and perform on stage showcases how important the authenticity of their music is to them. Like Moths to Flame are one of those love ‘em or hate ‘em kind of band. For those weary with metal heads, back away now. These guys are serious rockers and take no prisoners with their music. Cue speedy riffs, thumping bass, distorted guitars and heavy head banging. My neck actually became sore after the level of head banging I subjected it to. The crowd loved the band, screaming the chorus of each hit and forming endless chaotic mosh pit after mosh pit. The whole concert was absolutely wild: not for the faint hearted, but for those with metal hearts, a must see!

Metalcore is definitely one of those love it or hate it kinds of genres. You really do love it or hate it! There’s a wild concoction of distorted guitars, played to quite a high standard complete with a lot of impressively speedy riffs, doubled up on bass, with all the right accents being complemented on the drums. This band Like Moth to Flames, launch into their very first single that they released, “Dead Routine” and it is as though someone through a grenade into the audience as the whole room has exploded with bodies running around in circle pits pushing each other around in mosh pits. The chorus is epic, with majestic vocals from Chris Roetter. “You’ll Burn” is a mid set peak, with the crowd going absolutely wild, singing, some screaming in true metal style, or at least attempting, over the harmonious guitars dueling throughout the set, it is such a fantastic evening of metalcore, and a great introduction to anyone who wants to get into it.
