Greyson Michael Chance, an American singer songwriter got the chance of a lifetime (pun intended) when his YouTube cover video of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” went viral. The video shot him up to stardom, even inspiring Ellen DeGeneres to start her own label to ensure his success; in fact, she further platformed his career by featuring him on her daily talk show.
It really is no surprise that Ellen put so much energy into his career, because the kid can sing. At his live shows, he really showcases his multi-talented-ness, as he is usually singing while playing the piano. He is also a great stage presence, constantly speaking and having the crowd sing along with him. He seems like a super sweet, really down to earth kid who is taking the world on one step at a time, doing what he loves doing most.
The live shows that he does usually consist of him playing a mix of original songs, as well as his covers. While his original songs are great and really show off his abilities, his covers are truly what make him that much more amazing. He puts in his own artistry and does not do carbon copies of the original songs. Truly a talented kid.
Greyson Chance started out just a few short years ago as a YouTube sensation playing his guitar and singing, who was asked to appear on the Ellen Show, and rocketed to fame from the exposure. The seventeen year old writes his own original music, and has millions of views on the internet, and he is now travelling around playing various music venues.
His journey is remarkable, from uploading his video, to being called up to go to a studio in LA, you might think that this would go straight to the head of the then thirteen year old, but I’m pleased to say that he’s humble and modest as ever. Seeing him perform was wonderful. The fresh vibe and raw talent of youthful artists such as Greyson is refreshing and exciting.
He sat at the piano for the entirety of his gig, and sang his way through his debut album, Hold on ‘til the Night, as well as playing the track from which he gained his fame – Paparazi. He is a funny and friendly young man, who engaged with the audience in a manner well beyond his years. I’ll definitely be following him as is grows into a wonderful young artist.
My sister and I have been fans of him since the first time we knew Paparazzi, we kept track of his upcoming songs and we loved it, heck we still love it. I was 13 and my sister was 8. It was such a bummer that people did not want to give him the opportunity to continue back then, bcs for real, he deserves to be one of the best stars on earth! But here we are, 9 years later, with new singles and albums of Greyson that we have been longing for so long. Gosh, keep it up Greyson!.. you, your songs, your personality inspired us so much. The words you told us really got to me, I didn't even know I needed to hear those words until you said it on stage. Amsterdam listens G. We listen.
The best show I’ve yet attended.
It was the first time Greyson Chance performed in Berlin and it was obvious how he and fans were excited about it.
In the middle of the concert it became very hot so management of the artist started giving out cold water bottles - that was a very thoughtful move as the crowd wasn’t that big.
Great live performance, strong connection with a audience, solid 1,5 hour session.
Loved every second of it.
Best concert I have attended. Greyson has a beautiful and powerful voice, and he sings with such deep
passion. He communicates with the audience through his music in a way I never thought possible. When you’re in the concert arena with him, you feel like you belong, because he sees you. He sees you in all the right ways.
Greyson is amazing quite frankly, and the concert was incredible.
This venue was interesting and amazing. I highly recommend the concerts at this venue. I am so glad I got to hug Greyson. Thank you for the opportunity! I definitely will come to future concerts of his.
The show was lit!!
Can’t wait to go to another show, every thing is perfect, so happy to be there to listen to Greyson’s voice. The show went well so sad that it’s finished already.
