Having risen to fame in 1993 by winning the best newcomers' section at the Sanremo Music Festival in her homeland with the track that would become her debut single, 'La Solitudine', Laura Pausini has since cemented her place as one of her country’s most beloved pop stars, over the course of a career that’s now lasted more than two decades.
Her self-titled debut album sold two million copies worldwide, with particular success across Europe, and the follow-up - 1994's 'Laura' - went one better by selling three million copies, confirming Pausini as an international star. That feat is made all the more impressive when you consider the fact that Pausini has never managed to break into the English-speaking market
Still, with in excess of seventy million records sold across the globe, it's difficult to imagine the lack of English-speaking success keeping Pausini awake at night – especially when you take into account the impressive array of awards she’s won over the course of her career. Including multiple Latin Grammy Awards, a Billboard Latin Music Award and four World Music Awards. She was also the first ever Italian female to win a Grammy Award, for Best Latin Pop Album in 2006.

From La Solitudine and Strani Amori to her most recent hit Limpido with Kylie Minogue. As Laura sings also in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French her greatest hits collection 'Laura Pausini - 20 contains" all of these languages. For the Spanish market the songs are mostly in Spanish.
I've been a fan of her from the start ever since La Solitudine was a hit in my country and I have never left her. When she isn't coming to my country I'll go to Italy to see her. I saw her in Milan, Verona, Cernobbio and even more places. I even saw her perform in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil!! That was so amazing!
I have met her a couple of times so she does remember me. When she see's my face she starts to smile, she calls my name and start to dedicate an entire song to you. That is who Laura Pausini is. It is so special that with all those millions of people she sees all the time that she really recognizes her fans. I love her for that and I'll always will.
Laura Pausini is without a doubt one of Italy's most popular singer/songwriters and she has gone on to achieve critical and commercial success worldwide due to the strength of both her music and personality. Her fanbase hold her in incredibly high acclaim and appreciate her entire discography in equal measure as the crowds at her gig remain consistently deafening.
She plays a selection from Grammy winning album 'Lo canto /Yo canto' which always goes down really well with the fans inside the venue. She has such a warm personality and addresses the crowd as one numerous times, chatting on a personable level and simply elevating the already amicable atmosphere. The crowd sings, dances, sways and cheers in all the right places and Pausini seems genuinely pleased for their dedication and overall interaction with the music. By the final tones there is a feeling that both performer and audience member do not want the evening to end.

The Hazte Sentir World Tour concert in Madrid was one of the best shows I have attended in my whole life.
Laura Pausini's voice and charisma are always splendid and she has also been able to put up a show full of visual effects, color, talented musicians and the best songs of her 25 years of career.
I would recommend anyone to see at least one of Laura Pausini's shows. This is my fourth time!!!
