Biografía
With over 30 instruments in his know how, Hayes’ potential for musical greatness was encouraged from an early age. While most other two year olds are given teddy bears, Hayes’ grandmother gave the youngster an accordion. His foray into the entertainment industry began at age four when he began appearing on local and national television.
By age six, Hayes received a guitar from actor Robert Duvall and he discovered his true love for making music. The following year Hunter was invited to the White House to perform in front of US President Bill Clinton. Following a string of excellent opportunities including a feature on the talent show “America’s Most Talented Kids” Hayes moved to Tennessee, US in 2008. There he signed with Universal Music Publishing Group as a songwriter and began penning tracks for the label, one of which he co-wrote “Play” for Rascal Flatts.
In September 2010 Hayes signed with Atlantic Records as a solo artist where he would begin preparing material for his debut release. The following year, Hayes was given the opportunity to support fellow country star Taylor Swift on ten dates of her “Speak Now World Tour” which was exactly the exposure he needed before his release. After the world tour, Hayes jumped on his own promotional radio tour where he premiered tracks off his forthcoming album.
In October 2011 Hunter Hayes released his debut self-titled album which quickly rose to number one in the top Country album chart and clinched onto number seven in the Billboard chart. The album featured the singles “Wanted” and “Storm Warning” and he became the youngest ever male to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs. Following the album release, later that month Hayes jumped straight onto his first nationwide tour entitled “Most Wanted Tour”.
2012 was a strong year for Hunter Hayes as he continued to gain popularity as he joined Carrie Underwood on her nationwide “Blown Away Tour”. With four Grammy nominations and winning New Artist of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards, Hayes could do no wrong.
In 2014 Hayes released his second album “Storyline” featuring the popular hit “Tattoo” and topped the US Top Country Album chart. Raising awareness of ending child hunger, the perfect marketing opportunity for the album arose as he took on The Flaming Lips Guinness World Record of most shows played in different cities within 24 hours and smashed their title by playing ten shows in ten different cities.

Hunter Hayes proves that pop and R&B aren’t the only genres that have their own young heartthrobs. But don’t think that he’s just a golden coifed guy with some sparkling eyes, he’s definitely got the musical chops to back it up.
Starting his career at the age of 4 by appearing on just about every morning talk show that featured ‘talented children,’ he signed with Universal Music Publishing Group at the age of 17 and co-wrote ‘Play’ for Rascal Flatts the following year. He released two albums and has toured with Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts. He also recently broke the Guinness World Record for playing the most concerts in a 24-hour period. And if you didn’t think that was enough, he also was the youngest person to be inducted in the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.
With all those laurels, this young man should be able to put on a great show, and he does. Complete with his guitar and that country twang in his voice, he quickly wins the hearts of the teen and tween girls at just about every stage he’s played as well as their moms who love his down home and wholesome persona. He’s clearly the guy you can take home to meet your mama. Singing the more upbeat, he gets everyone on their feet with ‘I Want Crazy’ and the more rock-like ‘Storm Warning’ but makes them all melt with ‘Wanted.’ And I’m sure he’ll have that same effect on you.
I've been a fan of Hunter Hayes since day one, so when I got tickets to see him live, I was over the moon. I ended up going to the concert by myself and on my one side was a daughter and her father patiently waiting to experience not only their first Hunter Hayes concert, but her first concert ever. The look on her face as the lights went down and the music started was priceless. Hunter has such a unique voice that makes you want to never stop smiling. His lyrics are written straight from the heart and connect with everyone in their own way. During one of his songs, he had everyone turn on their flashes and wave them from side to side and everyone was belting out his lyrics. He got a little emotional because he was so happy that everyone knew the words and that everyone in the crowd was happy. He had so much fun running from the left side of the stage to the right, playing his guitar, and pointing and laughing at all the crazy signs the fans had made. After the concert was over, he came over to the gate and took pictures with every last fan. I had the best experience ever with his fans too. They were kind and down to earth; just like Hunter. I've never met anyone who puts so much hard work and emotion into every song he writes and delivers it live with so much passion. Hunter Hayes; congratulations on such a successful career - you deserve all of it!
You know Hunter Hays was very young when he started out. I really didn't know what to think but all of his songs seem to always be the best. He never failed to make the next song or album better the the last. He knows what to say and what to put in a song. He knows how most people feel in the sense that he has gone through a lot. He has had a heck of a career so far and I know that he will keep being great. He is a guy that most men would call a Kissy Kissy up to girl but the thing is he knows how we are all feeling. He doesn't say it though he sings it and that makes it all the better. He doesn't have a lot of albums but every one of them is always hitting a different subject - it may be a touchy one but he knows how to hit it just right. He brings tears to my eyes because he knows what to say what to write what kind of music video to right but honestly who could expect anything less from him. He is the kind of guy that when kids grow up now there want there kids to listen to his songs because when you feel down Hunter Hays never fails to bring you back up.
So I a Mom that took my 15 yr old daughter and my 15 yr old cousin. I must say I really enjoyed the show. Both Hunter and the opening act Hudson were on time. There were not a lot of drunks. Only saw 1 guy and he ended being escorted out very discreetly. I felt like they were safe enough for me to roam around and look at the venue. My daughter had a blast. He can sing very well and was very crowd focused. My only regret is that my daughter did not get to meet him and take a picture because those tickets were too expensive for us. But that's to be expected for a performer.
He comes highly recommend.
15yrold- omg I'm in love I wish I could have met him I loveeeeeeeeeeeeed it
The "Grammy in the Schools" concert was excellent. The student performers were absolutely incredible, so talented! Hunter Hayes was such a gracious performing allowing many of the students to perform on stage with him during his set. He probably made their whole year by allowing them to do that! Overall, I really enjoyed Hunter's set, he is such an energetic and passionate performer and I love that the music seems to vibrate through his whole body as he performs. I truly believe that God has blessed him to be a special vessel of musical talent and ability and I'm so thankful he is sharing his gifts with the world!
Hunter Hayes was amazing! His songs were recognized and he really had an open heart to every one. He really spiced things up on stage with songs that required us to dance and songs that just were exciting and made us want to dance. I loved it, and I would love to go see him again if he is on tour with Lady Antelbellum or another country group. It was an amazing and a well combined group of people who sang last night. God really gave him an open heart that spread the word and spread
The light to us in every song.
at the concert hunter Hayes was amazing. I already liked him when we got to the concert but leaving that concert gave me a new love for hunter Hayes. he's such a sweetheart. he talks and connects with the crowd really well and he told everyone for he sang one of his older songs "wanted" that anyone who's going through tough times right now that they can get through it and he gave a speech about how wonderful all his fans are and I love him so much. he is a must see!!!
absolutely amazing! because I was in the standing put, I got right up to the stage! Hunter was so intimate with the audience. at one point I held out my giant pretzel for him to eat but he didn't take the offer. someone threw a letter up on stage and at the end of the concert he came around to everyone and he asked who it was from and if it was for him. he really cared about everyone there which made the concert even more special
we came in to see Hunter Hayes from Ojai California to the Ventura County Fair we had some awesome seats this is the second time I seen him totally worth the trip I loved each
and everyone of his songs The one song he did Invisible it really hit home for me, I want to add he is very talented and would tell other to check him out I know when he comes back I will go and see him again Blessings to him and his crew and family
Hunter was Hunter. As usual, he gave a very high energy performance. Musically, it was off the charts but vocally he struggled a bit. However his energy and graciousness more than made up for it. I'll definitely see him again. Loved his extended version of Everybody's Got Somebody but Me and the new songs he sang. It was definitely worth the price of admission.
