Biografía
Scott started out in 2009 when he managed to win the singing contest 'Clayton Idol' held by WQDR-FM at the Clayton Harvest Festival in Clayton, North Carolina. Following this win Scott sang at numerous local shows with the radio station.
His success came about in 2011, after winning the popular talent show, USA's, 'American Idol'. Scott was the series' youngest male winner and second youngest winner overall. Scott McCreery had to have one of his parents live with him during the process of the show due to his young age. Following his success in the reality TV show, Scott went on to record and release his debut studio album, titled, Clear as Day, that same year. The album was highly successful and was impressively certified platinum in America.
Scott’s unique style meant his country vocals suited a number outlets. This was made evident through his debut album including the top 20 country songs, "I Love You This Big" and "The Trouble with Girls". Additionally his talents filtered through to him successfully releasing a public's favourite, Christmas album in 2012, titled, 'Christmas with Scotty McCreery', which has impressively been certified gold in the USA.
Success didn’t end there however, his first single from his third album titled, "See You Tonight", successfully reached the highly regarded, America's top 10 on Billboard's Country charts.

Scotty McCreery captured our attention during his stint on "American Idol." His singing and the songs he chose helped me enjoy the genre of country music more. So, when we saw that he was performing at Centennial Hall (University of Arizona), Tucson, we bought tickets for the show and were very excited.
First, we attend lectures at Centennial Hall so the issue regarding accoustics is not really a problem for the most part. However, with the presence of 3-4 guitars, keyboard and drums plus amps, the music was much louder than the performer...we saw Scotty's mouth moving and we knew sound was emanating from him BUT we could not hear the lyrics distinctly. I think if the music had been powered down a bit and/or the building had better accoustics, this would not have been an issue.
Enjoyed Scotty's personal footnotes which preceded some of the songs and it gave some insight to him as a person. He uses music/lyrics to express his feelings & emotions. Having said that, perhaps he is shy (as many performers are) and did not engage the audience (theater-goers in the front rows) much. Then I considered the possibility that he was "saving" himself for the audience members who had paid to visit him backstage. All in all, it was a high energy show with a group of wonderfully talented performers. It was good to see a grown up Scotty McCreery with 8-9 years of professional experience.
When I first heard that Scotty was gonna be in town I knew I had to buy a ticket before it sold out. He sang songs from his newest album and a couple from his older albums too. Also he sang a little bit of old country like Alan Jackson,Meryl Haggard,Alabama and Johnny Cash. He is such an amazing singer and did such an amazing job from beginning to end. The amount of talent on stage was so amazing. He switched from acoustic guitar to electric than back to acoustic. His band did Phenomenal too. They played instruments from fiddle to banjo to drums, electric guitar and keyboard and the list goes on.There wasn't a moment I didn't enjoy. I enjoyed it all. Also I got to meet Scotty in person and he is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Who he is on tv and in interviews is who he is in real life. Talking with him was like talking with one of my best friends. I can't say enough nice things about him and his band. It definitely worth seeing him in concert. I highly recommend it. You'll be entertained from beginning to end then sad when it's over. It'll be a night you never forget
A fresh faced youngster to the country scene, Scotty McCreery has been causing waves since winning American Idol and scoring a #1 album with 'Clear as Day'. A fan base was ready and waiting following his TV show victory and his outings on the live scene have been praised more and more ever since.
Now with two albums worth of hit material, McCreery is one of complete ease onstage. I suppose the transition from having millions of eyes on you each week to a mere couple thousand in a venue is a nice change as Scotty is able to relax further into his performance. He also has a great live band and seems to thrive from the jam mentality of his music style.
He builds a great connection with the crowd as he tells them meanings behind his songwriting and his experiences as a reality star at such a young age. They warm to him almost instantly and cheer even louder for 'See You Tonight' and US smash 'I Love You This Big'. By his final bows there is an unspoken unanimous opinion that Scotty is destined for great things.
Bought the tickets as a Mother's Day gift for myself and took my two daughters. Scotty was great! My daughters were excited walking into the theater but by the time he finished his first song they said he is now their favorite. He walked down the aisle we were sitting by for one of his songs and touched my older daughters hand , so that would be her highlight. We loved how he would turn the lights up a bit and tell the audience a little bit about his journey to stardom. He played a song he had written but hasn't released yet which was great. Can't wait to hear it on the radio. Both of my girls said when he is on stage he looks like Jensen Ackles from Supernatural. I have to agree. I would highly recommend seeing Scotty in concert.
The Scotty McCrerry concert was AMAZING! It was our 3 daughters first concert experience and Scotty didn't disappoint us! I liked that he started almost on time (8 minutes after 8:00) and it was none stop entertainment! We hope he comes to Hawaii next year for another concert! Loved every minute of it! Wish it could've been a 3 hour show! ! ! !
It was good I enjoyed I sang along to the song five more minutes my grandpa he died on one of my birthday I was somewhere in elementary school but anyways I had a good time I wanted to really meet and greet you but my mom said she didn't want to pay that much this was my second time seeing you
Absolutely amazing! It was such a great time. My uncle and I went; I have seen Scotty, though, two times in the past so going a third time made me so happy! He never disappoints with his stage presence. Love him and I loved the Casino Ballroom. Five stars!
I thought that Scotty did a really, truly great job. I thought that him telling us about his cousin dying in the war, along with the fact he wrote a about him and his wife and son was admirable. It was great that he sang old and new songs for us too!
He's great i so wanted him to win and when he came to NH the first time I had to see him in person. Just like this time I loved it and made my night when he touched my hand. I hope he comes back again soon. Love you Scotty
