Worst concert experience I ever had!
Doors opened at 10 as advertised. My wife and I were there at 10:15 ready to enjoy a great concert from one of my favorites bands. Senior Frog is a very small place, therefore there is no place to seat, a only standing up concert.
Rata Blanca's sound tech was having a hard time to sound check the instruments, specially having problems with the keyboards' sound output. This issue took very long to resolve, 2-1/2 hrs!!!.
Two and a half hours just standing there with no where to sit waiting impatiently for Rata.
Around 1am they finally showed up and to everyone's disappointment the sound was the worst I have ever encountered in a concert.
The microphone wasn't working, hense we couldn't hear the singer singing at all. The crowd was booing very upset. The main guitar (the most important member of the band) was barely audible. At this point I joined the booing trying to get a reaction from the sound techs. The techs replaced the microphone but the sound was still missing.... After the third microphone replaced we still couldn't hear the voice and I decided that I had tortured my wife enough for one night and left Senior Frog very upset and disappointed at the lack of professionalism....
I Won't ever step foot again at Senior Frog.
Rata Blanca is a band that was formed in the year 1986 in Argentina. They perform music in the heavy metal genre. They have released 9 studio albums throughout their career together. I had the extremely lucky chance to watch this band perform for the first time in my life at Buenos Aires in the year 1992. The band performed at an indoor venue with a large enough space for a rather large, passionate audience. The visuals consisted of the usual lights that changed colors and flashed throughout the show. They were dressed in the attire that was expected from a heavy metal band in the 1990s. Everyone in the band had long hair and tight clothes. The concert was a wonderful experience for many reasons. Not only was the band extremely talented, but they also seemed determined to provide a fantastic show for everyone who showed up to watch them. They did not fall short of their goal! I am not a huge heavy metal fan but they converted me to a huge fan of their music. I will definitely be going to watch them perform the next time I am nearby one of their performances. I would recommend that anyone who is reading this would do the same!
Rata Blanca (English: White Rat) is an Argentinean band that is showing the world, one show at a time, that Buenos Aires knows how to rock…hard. Since their inception in the late 80s, the heavy metal band currently consisting of Adrian Barilari, Fernando Scarcella, Walter Giardino, Guillermo Sanchez and Danilo Moschen continue to travel the world to play their live shows for their fans (with the exception of the three year hiatus that they took).
I’m not really a heavy metal fan, and I only speak English, which is why it is actually really interesting to watch Rata Blanca’s live set. I’ve been to a few metal shows, as per request of my friends, but to witness a metal show done entirely in Spanish seemed to redefine my opinions of the genre in general. I guess it was because I could see the complexity of the genre if you take away the meanings (lyrics) of the song and concentrate entirely on the instrumentals. With only the flashes of the spotlight on the band, your really couldn’t get a good look of the band, but damn is there sound massive. It is an in your face heavy guitar, heavy drums experience.
Last Sunday Rata Blanca 's show was incredible , celebrating 30th Years the one and only one Heavy Metal Band from Argentina and for the World , band is really coming along with a thriller show ,Waletr Giardino guitar is electrifying as always,Adrian Barilari voice with his unique tone, magnetique , charismatic, fun !!! such a performer !!! , Scarcella in drums rocking the house, Danilo Moschen in keyboards with subtle and wonderful soundscapes blending the best of this genre ... Have to say bittersweet because this line up is not including former bass player that passes Mr. Guillermo Sanchez which is truly missed as we saw.... New bassemen Pablo Motyczak is amazing and standed up , I know why is endorsed by Aguilar and Sire .If you want a Rock go and have an spectacular time singing alone Mujer Amante, La leyenda del Hada y el Mago, and my fav El Reino Olvidado.
Do mot miss it!!!!
I loved the show, because I am a fan, but unfortunately the voice was not audible like should be. I was at VIP Section. The same happened in March of 2017 at the Buenos Aires Belgrano show.
Very interesting to see them playing a kind of classic medley rock songs too.
Banda fue genial, jugaron más de una hora que incluía todos los éxitos. La gente se quedó toda la noche ruidosa!
Band was great, they played over an hour that included all the hits. The crowd stayed rowdy all night!
