Biografía
The current lineup of Big Daddy Weave is almost identical to the original, formed now over a decade ago; Mike Weaver is the frontman, singing and playing guitar, his brother Jay Weaver plays bass, Jeremy Redmon is on lead guitar and Joe Shirk is a multi-instrumentalist, usually playing either saxophone or keyboards. Only Brian Belhi, on drums, is a recent addition, joining the band in 2013 after original sticksman Jeff Jones departed to focus on other endeavors. Big Daddy Weave are by no means a Christian rock band in the kind of abstract way that, say, Creed became known for - they deal with typical Christian topics directly in their lyrics, and their hits include the likes of ‘Audience of One’, ‘What Would Life Be Like’, Every Time I Breathe’, ‘In Christ’, ‘Fields of Grace’, ‘Without You’ and ‘Redeemed’.
The band came together whilst all studying at college, at the University of Mobile; there’s more than a little suggestion, though, that there might have been some divine intervention behind the group’s formation. Frontman Mike Weaver was originally a worship leader in Pensacola, Florida. Thankfully, for the group’s legions of fans, he only moved to Mobile at the behest of his pastor, who was convinced that the vocally gifted Weaver should have been studying voice.

The Big Daddy Weave concert was Absolutely Incredible!!! The Holy Spirit was in heavy presence from start to finish.
At one point the Holy Spirit was so heavy I began to weep. Just then Mike Weaver said "If anyone has a diagnosis their dealing with come up to the corners and these guys in the red shirts will pray for you." I went up.
I was waiting and praising and a new guy came up and introduced himself as Dave. He asked what he could do for me. I told him I had been diagnosed with heart failure this past March and that I believed that when I see the cardiologist next week after this prayer time it will be gone. I also told him that the Lord healed me of a 7 year struggle with major depression last summer. We prayed. After the prayer time, he looked at me with these eyes and said "You are my daughter. I love you and I'm proud of you." I hadn't told him that since the healing of depression I had become very active in my church and volunteered frequently. Things I was unable to do before. Jesus reached out to me through this gentleman to let me know that I am on the right path and to verify the path I am considering.
Praise the Lord.

Big Daddy Weave are a contemporary Christian rock band signed to Fervent Records and somewhat named after their lead singer Jay Weaver. However the name goes deeper than that; it describes the movement of sound they produce. The band weaves their heartfelt, emotive and highly profound lyrics into their songs. The songs draw you in and tell a story, of loss, of love of strength. On top of this they combine the most uplifting chord progressions that make you feel as though you’re actually lifting up and classic-rock drum beats that necessitate a good foot tap and clap.
Jay Weaver kept on telling us to sing along and even complemented us on how good our singing was. But more than anything else the joy he was experiencing was a joy in itself, his smile made mine grow and made me feel stronger, happier and more purposeful.
The band has been making music and touring for over a decade but their most recent album Love Come To Life released in 2012 proved the band’s ambition it has been seen as a huge development in creativity, it shows their drive to go further, and reach more people and spread the important message they have to share.
Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The tickets were a birthday gift for my daughter. We had a blast! We were on the back row on the center aisle so we considered them prime seats. The music was like we were jamming out in our living room with hundreds of our closest friends. The Spirit of the LORD was all around us! We know and love all the songs played but it was still great to see the words on the big screen. Thanks for making my daughter's birthday gift amazing!
PS My daughter turned 24 two days before the concert but we believe celebrating for as long as possible!
I cannot begin to tell you what the concert ment to my husband and myself...
Besides the AMAZING music and show,
watching the people respond to the prayers and invitation was priceless. See the members of the groups come and embrace the ones in need made me love them even more...
And then.... And then..... They handed us this little box with a beautiful child that God has blessed us with to help.....
We have not been to many concerts, but none will ever top this for me or my husband.
God Bless Greg and Lori Harless
This was the first Christian concert my family and I attended and it did not disappoint. God moved in that church! I am already looking to see who, when and where the next show will be. All of the performers really showed their love for God and inspired me. To see the love of God on so many faces was such a good feeling. Just to be gathered in the presence of God with that group of people was so moving. I love to praise God and especially through music!!
God Bless us all!
this was a first for both me and my other half to see Big Daddy weave they were absolutely amazing to finally see you after all this time my other half has been very inspired by their song "REDEEMED" and to be able to say Lauren Daigle Jason gray and citizens way with them was awesome it was one of the absolute best concert I've ever been to you you knew at night that God was there and in that place felt nothing but love and connection with God.
Hands down the best concert I've attended in years. I go to at least 2 concerts a month. I didn't want it to end. I didn't realize how many songs I would know. He also played some top contemporary choices from other groups....better than they did. Beautiful voice, loving energy, encouraging and the entire band was exceptional. I will definitely see them again. The spirit of love was definitely in the house!!
The concert was awesome. It was a night to praise our Lord. And Big Daddy Weave and Zack Williams and We are Messengers kept the praise going for hours.
Big Daddy let us see some pictures of his travels abroad. He came off the stage to talk to the crowd, this was a wonderful thing to do. I was not close, but it really made me feel like he was one of us.
I would recommend this band to all.
Great concert! My heart was opened by the songs and ministry of this group. Mike has a way with words that bring in the Divine energies. I truly felt the presence of God at this concert, thru the words of Mike and the songs the group sang. I saw Big Daddy Weave perform once before and I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience it all again!
