Biografía
Josh Young (J2K) and Curt Cameruci (DJ Autobot) have been making music together since 2006, when they began their career writing remixes together. It all really kicked off when they had the incredible opportunity to open for Chromeo on an international tour, entitled the “Fancy Footwork tour”. They built up their reputation as one of the leading Dancehall DJ Outfits of the present day, wherever they go, making people get up out of their seats to dance.
They began to put together original material, which would go on to gain them a loyal international following. They also collaborated with NIKE + to create a mix tape of new De La Soul Material. But it doesn’t stop there! They’ve also appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and the Nick Jr. program Yo Gabba Gabba! And have not only toured with but have collaborated with Kid Sister, Diplo, Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J, The cool Kids, and A-Trak.
Floss’s draw on crowds at festivals is something that they have such a good reputation for, making people dance wherever they go in the world, inviting and luring punters in to their original world of EDM music which is still building their following up to this day.

Like a lot of the concerts I've been to, my friends were the ones who talked me in to go see Flosstradamus with them. I had heard of him at the time, but I never really listened to his music.
I had absolutely no idea how popular this dude was, and at the time, I had no idea how popular EDM music was. The stadium we went to was packed and ever since then, I have heard so many people talking about EDM, recommending people different EDM tracks, its crazy.
Anyway, the concert was AMAZING. Usually, the concerts I go to just consist of the rappers, singers, backup dancers, and drummers on stage, sometimes with a lot of flashy strobe lights and special effects. This concert was so much different. For one, the jumbotron was HUGE and was playing trippy animations, which was pretty cool. The music was amazing as well and got me hooked on EDM and trap music. I don't know how this dude does it, but the beats are just amazing and you can't help bobbing your head to them. The amount of lights and special effects was just insane, I have never seen anything like it before. The crowd was wild, and a lot of them were doing drugs out in the open, not that I mind. Overall, GREAT performance, great music.
Flosstradamus, otherwise known as DJs Josh Young and Curt Cameruci really do take dance music to the next level. There is no way their live performance could be described as conventional in the sense of them standing behind a set of decks and dropping song after song. They have mixed their original music with their favourite dance tracks of the moment along with personal remixes to give the set variation and to keep the audience involved and entertained.
The whole stage setup has been considered and the visuals are elaborate to emphasise certain points in the tracks. Whilst the impressive lighting display keeps both the performers and the crowd bathed in frantic strobe which seems to increase their energy levels to even more insane heights.
There are roars of appreciation for the single 'Look At The Sky' as Josh Young climbs atop the decks and encourages the crowd to jump up and down. It is fair to say that when the momentous party finally concludes, the whole audience will be comparing future dance acts to this duo in terms of stage presence.
Flosstradamus was playing a highpumped joint concert with Dillon Francis, so by the time they got on, the crowd was already hot and sweaty. Fortunately, even though the venue had been downscaled due to lacking summersales, the guys had no intention of letting eager fans down. So continuing the exstensive workout, fans got a hardpumped BASS set to freak out to. Lighting was a standard "light" package, consisting only of PAR-cans and strobes. But that was all we needed, as the ever important BASS was everpresent, and the small room did everything to enhance the experience. In all, everyone got exactly what they were hoping for in Flosstradamus - as predicted one might say. ;)
Flosstradamus lays down a solid, high-energy, very danceable set. In the hour past midnight that he played, managed trip most of my fitness devices' daily goals!
I don't know if the early set-end was the artist's or the venue's choice, but it was one of the few things I would have changed about the performance. I mean, with an 0100 set-end on a Thursday night, you've already blown past the hours where people can go home via public transport: may as well keep going to at least last call!
Would definitely go to see, again, especially if I knew the set was going to be longer than 90 minutes or otherwise last later into the evening.
As if seeing one of my fave artists isn't awesome enough I also had the pleasure of seeing them so close to home. The venue was a perfect spot in Williamsburg Brooklyn that had a fast moving line, friendly staff and security, a plenty of dance space. Their performance was awesome enough to forget my ticket troubles and dancing the night away. I especially loved how they closed their show with some old school favorites.
Will vow to always see them when they're in town!
The concert was terrific, Flosstradamus had such a good performance. His energy was incredible; he played some excellent jams and overall great experience. Side note: at the end, Flosstradamus signed so many flags and shirts and took pictures with so many people that I think that was an incredible gesture from him, he seemed like a cool guy, and I am glad I went to see him.
Second show I've seen him headline. Each time, he's put on a great, very energetic set (for example, last night's show, FitBit said I'd racked nearly 8000 steps in about ninety minutes of set time!). Always brings out really enthusiastic audiences (and, even for EchoStage, fairly low on the "bro" count).
so it was my my 1st Flosstradamus one year ago in Hart Plaza & they were fucking killer! it was my 1st time seeing them, then I saw them at electric forest & it was awesome, they got such a dope selection of tunes they'll pplay
It was honestly one of the best shows i've seen in years. Solid 10/10. Everything was on point, the energy was so high and there was a general sense of peace and love which I enjoy alot. Must see.
