Biografía
Since their first self-titled effort in 2007, they have released three albums, all of which have earned them a great deal of success. Their second album, "Smile Kid" (2009), turned out two Top 40 singles,"Heaven Can Wait" and "We'll Be a Dream", the latter of which featured actress Demi Lovato on guest vocals.
Their next album, "Sunshine State of Mind" (2011) got them to No.45 on the US Billboard 200 chart and No.9 on the Rock Albums chart.
Their latest, "Somewhere, Somehow" (2013) has been their biggest yet, climbing to No.44 on the US Billboard 200 chart and the prime position of No. 6 on the Rock Albums chart, with the anthemic, electronic-leaning power ballad "Just Keep Breathing" as the flagship single. The lyrics recall front man Travis Clark's experiences being bullied as a kid.
The current line-up consists of Clark on vocals and guitar, Hunter Thomsen on lead guitar and backing vocals, Coley O'Toole on keyboard and rhythm guitar, Charles Trippy on bass and Danny Duncan on drums.
Travis Clark's sentimental lyrics and nasal, Blink-leaning vocals have carried the band from their early pop-punk strengths to their more recent synthesised explorations in "Somehow, Somewhere". He's apparently a huge fan of Blink 182, a fact that resonates within We the Kings' meditations on growing up, meeting girls, dealing with teenage problems against a backdrop of power-chord bliss. Their latest, remodeled sound is marked by keyboard loops, drum-machine sounds, embellished effects and swarming clusters of electropop leading into huge pop-punk choruses.
"Find You There", "Any Other Way", and "Art of War" are other stand-out tunes off "Somehow, Somewhere" that give off a hands in the air, party-friendly sense of va-va-voom.

We the Kings. With a name like that you start to wonder if it's even close to being appropriate. But if you get anything out of this, it's this: We the Kings are definitely kings!
This is a no brainer. Few bands can kick so much butt and generate so much energy as them. Even between songs, there is never a dull moment as the band makes sure to entertain the crowd in all their craziness. Of course though, the best parts of their shows begin when they pick up their mighty instruments, and when they do, you know things are gonna get good. The band itself has developed an awesome sound with a flair for punk and a hint of pop. But all in all, they're a rock band, and they know how to rock. With hits like "Just Keep Breathing" and "Check Yes Juliet", the band somehow manages to invoke this amazing feeling of invincibility and unabashed energy that can't stop making you strike a smile. Trust me, they'll make you happy to be there listening to them. Few bands know how to grab the crowd so well, and even fewer know how to give them a good time. We the Kings can do both, and they can do both surprisingly well. They are kings after all. Though they're still on their rise to be the best they can be, a We The Kings show promises to not disappoint. And you know what? They never do. Whether you believe going to a We the Kings gig is worth it or not, I don't care. All I care is if I can get tickets to go see them again.
I'll be honest, I didn't actually go to see We The Kings. I was there to see the support act called Yours Truly. So I'll start this off by saying if you ever get the chance, drop everything and see Yours Truly wherever you can - I can guarantee you that you won't regret it. As for We The Kings, yeah look, they can put on a show. Entertaining all round, they did well, it was a good time even though I only knew about 1 or 2 of their songs.
But like, yeah nah, Yours Truly is lit.
Check them out. Best thing that you'll do today. Yeah nice.
I've been fortunate enough to see We the Kings more than once and they kill it everytime. They are another one of the many bands I look forward to seeing on the vans warped your every year. Travis's voice is spot on when he plays live, even in the blistering July heat so I give them creds for that. They are definitely a teenager heart throb band and I can't help but sing my heart out everytime I see them. Recommend them if you plan on visiting a date at the vans warped tour!
This concert was one of the more entertaining concerts I've been to. The opening acts, She is We and AJR were really good, the music was catchy and all the musicians seemed very humble to be playing the venue. We the Kings were amazing. This is the first WTK concert I've been to and it was better than expected. Hopefully I'll be able to see them play again soon.
We The Kings is one of my favorite bands. Ever. period. Yeah. They are one of the few bands that can actually bring a laugh into their concert. They are hilarious, even whilst they are making amazing music. This is the band that brought me and my girlfriend together. WTK will forever be my favorite band.
