Críticas en vivo
Johnny Foreigner, the indie rock band, are a group that I’ve followed since the release of their Debut EP, We Left You Sleeping And Gone Now, back in 2005, which they actually managed to release successfully without being a signed band. The great thing about seeing them live, is that you appreciate their musical talent more than on a studio recording, and you can see all three of them commanding and mastering their instruments whilst singing, dancing, and giving a great performance.
Kelly’s vocal harmonies over Alexi’s lead vocals add the indie twist to the otherwise reasonably heavy sound of the band, and grounds the music nicely in its genre. Their voices blend really well together, and their contradicting tones rub against each other, creating an original sound.
They concentrated predominantly on playing their new album, You Can Do Better, which was exciting to hear live, as it’s not been performed live many times since its release earlier this year. Throughout the show, each musician took their turn to perform a solo on their instrument, and it was great to see that they’re all of equal talent. They were also a lot of fun when interacting with us in the crowd, encouraging everyone to dance and sing along. It was a great atmosphere, and a wonderful show.
