I thought K&D was going to be an enjoyable concert, but people, this was superlative!
They have been an icon of my twenties' music database but never saw them live! I thought "ok they will shot all their classics revisited and it will be sweet" but my expectations were greatly beaten by their first hour at the decks. Kruder was in flames while Dorfmeister in total aplomb. They delivered a mixture of house, electro, techno and really, I don't know....any attempt to classify that trivialises it. I thought: "they are back!". I had no enough time to process it that they got back to us with the old classics without rust and dust. I was blown away. And as me, many others clearly at the end of their 30s (and beyond) :-D
Three hours of pure lust.
And Last but not least. The visuals were scientifically mastered and made a perfect complement to the unfolding magic of their tunes
It felt like we are all aging well.
For over twenty years I’ve been listening to their music. Many a special night has been nurtured by their tunes. To see them live was an unbelievable privilege. From the moment they stood at their decks the music kept coming and coming. Measured and deep rhythms layers upon layers allowing a personal connection. The accompanying visuals all part of the show. For nearly three hours we were shielded from the reality. My ears are still ringing and my legs ache yet my soul has been nourished once more. Simply awesome.
Caught the duo at the Albert Hall, Manchester. Was up there with one of the best gigs of my life! A great selection of K&D classic tracks, mixed into a similar vibe set, but with various tempos and styles of beat. Throbbing bass and great visuals at a superb venue. The remix/re-edit of Prince’s ‘Controversy’ blew the roof off!
I am really disappointed. I expected some vibes like in the K&D sessions but there was no chillout or lounge vibes at all. It was more like a DJ set from Oakenfold or Trentemøller. The set was not bad, but if you expect a Schnitzel you won't be satisfied with fried tofu.
Amazing music, dancing till sunrise... great audience & atmosphere, very cool concert!!
Started with the classic songs of K&D and ended with party & intelligent dancing songs. We had soo much fun more than 3 hours...
But it looks that Kruder had more fund than Richard.
