So you're thinking about seeing the summer set? DO IT. It will seriously be the best decision you ever make! When you go to a summer set, get ready to dance to some amazing beats and lyrics, and enjoy the bands sense of humor.
This down to earth band from Scottsdale Arizona is made up of amazingly talented people. We have Brian Dales on vocals, Jess Bowen representing the ladies on the drums, John Gomez on not only guitar but also piano and backing vocals, Stephen Gomez on bass, and Joshua Montgomery on the guitar!! Their laid back pop punk vibe makes you want to dance, get revenge on your ex, or maybe make up with you ex depending on the song. They always have insane energy and awesome stage presence and will definitely keep you entertained and wanting more.
The summer set has played at a varying amount of venues, from small intimate shows like their last acoustic tour, to packing legendary places like the house of blues. They have a loyal fan base that grows more and more every day, and a dedicated street team behind them every step of the way. The summer set also started the half moon kids, which encourages everyone to always be brave, always be curious but most of all be legendary!
The Half Moon Kids is a community that shares the common thread of understanding that our dreams are not futile, they are our future, and that friendship is the key to unlocking those beautiful ideas locked away deep inside of us all.
All in all, if you have the opportunity to see the summer set live, take it and run with it. You won't regret it and will be craving for more!

Stemming from Scottsdale Arizona are 5 very musically talented individuals that formed The Summer Set. The first song that caught my attention was ‘Chelsea’ (a song named after the lead singer Brian’s girlfriend!) their first single and a crowd favourite that you cannot help but sing your heart out to.
They always play it live and the crowd always go crazy! They have come a long way over the last 5 years, from their first album ‘Love Like This’ to their newest album ‘Legendary’, and you guessed it, it really is Legen... wait for it, dary! And the album name really did come from How I Met Your Mother along with the title track.
‘Lightning in a Bottle’ is one of my favourite songs from the newest album, when it’s performed live, always with so much energy, it really comes alive. This song really makes you feel like your teenage self without a care in the world. They have so much energy with John dancing around on stage and Jess killing it on the drums. She may be the only girl in the band, but she rocks it just as hard as the other 4 guys.
Even if you go to a show knowing only a few of the songs, you will find yourself singing along to all of their catchy songs and humming them on the way home! They create amazing music but they do it for themselves and for their fans, they don’t try to fit any stereotype or genre, they are what they are and they are growing and changing with each album. And that honesty, along with the ability to make and perform great music, is what keeps us going back for more.
