Named after the street that The Simpsons live on, Evergreen Terrace are one of those pretty heavy post hardcore bands that I stumbled upon about ten years ago when I was sent an mp3 of their cover of the 80’s classic “Maniac”. This band make quite a large sound with their distorted guitars, played through amps turned up to eleven, and the screaming vocals of Andrew Carey, and the machine gun tight drums of Christopher Brown. Everything that he plays is so tight, holding this machine that is Evergreen Terrace together. Tonight they play some of their most recent material in the form of songs such as “Dead Horses”. A song that this audience really get behind in the form of huge mosh pits, with tattooed and pierced metalcore fans throwing the limbs around aimlessly, running head first into each other. Looks painful, takes me back to the days of when I was into heavier music heading to a rock club, under aged. (Aren’t I a rebel), listening to bands such as Evergreen Terrace. The atmosphere this evening is huge.
