If you appreciate "Classic Rock" like I do, then this artist will quench your thirst.
I am proud to say that I have seen him live in concert more than 25-30 times (maybe more), from large football sized arenas to small Mexican restaurants or even famous Hollywood night clubs and every time I leave feeling satisfied and fortunate.
I grew up listening to all of the great classic rock bands from the late 70,s and I never realized how much the Pat Travers Band was going to impact my musical taste. His brand of music is filled with what the late Bruce Lee used to say to his students " emotional content." To express yourself freely always as a artist is the highest form of ability and expertise.
Pat has always (since 1976) put everything into his music and his live shows. I once saw his band perform at a small bar/music hall in southern California to a audience of maybe 50 people and that is being nice. You would have thought that they were playing a sold out show at a large stadium. I left that night so overwhelmed and impressed with the professionalism he displayed that evening, I will never forget it.
Pat is an underrated guitar player who is always quick to give credit to other band members. He has always been mentioned by other well known guitar players as a major influence, and he remains highly respected amongst his peers. His band members and other musicians that he has played with over the years could easily be added to any Hall of Fame list. From Nicko McBrain to Tommy Aldridge and Ansley Dunbar or Peter"Mars"Cowling or Pat Thrall, Glenn Hughes,Todd Rungren etc. Pat will always give you a high energy dose of Electric/Blues/Rock that rivals any music today for sure.
I like this particular quote to sum up his career, "Pat Travers is the best kept secret in Rock and Roll".
