Bluegrass music as a genre is one of those that never wears off on me. I’ve always appreciated where it comes from, the stories that are told through this genre and even the incredible technicality that comes with the territory.
Cue, Chatham County Line, an American Bluegrass group who hails from a place called Raleigh in North Carolina, who has been together for fifteen years or so. They have released four albums across two different labels and have built up a fan base on either side of the Atlantic Ocean. When they perform this evening the crowd is ready to just simply have a good time tonight. Of course there is an abundance of cowboy hats but that just comes with the territory. As soon as they begin their first song, the gathering this evening are in uproar, with every face bearing a huge smile from ear to ear. Their sound is pretty close to Mumford & Sons but a little bit more Bluegrass than commercial. They finish this evening on arguably their biggest song to date, a song called “Tightrope Of Love”, inspiring anyone and everyone to join in singing along.
