Shadowork & Sound Night Out present Attrition, pioneers of the darkwave genre. Formed in Coventry in 1980, fuelled by punk ideology and experimental art aesthetics, they emerged alongside contemporaries Coil, Test Department, Legendary Pink Dots and In The Nursery, with founder Martin Bowes steering the band through over four decades of critically acclaimed albums, extensive worldwide touring, and collaborations ranging from punk legend TV Smith to Wolfgang Flür (ex-Kraftwerk). Attrition play District, Liverpool on 4th September 2026 — their first ever Liverpool show.
