Polyphia was great. They weren't the headliner so it was a fairly brief set, but it was fantastic. They played their best songs like 87 and James Franco. The other bands there didn't quite have the same sound, as they were all metal bands. Not my cup of tea, but it was still an exciting and enjoyable show. Definitely going to see them play with Chon in April.
First band I saw was Save Us From the Archon, great! Beautiful soundscapes created by semi-melodic prob metal shredding. I was definitely impressed.
Angel of Vivaldi, holy shit...they were something else. It took me a little bit of time to recover from Angel shredding my face half-way off with his epic riffage. I'd never heard of it hear guys before, but I am most definitely a fan now!
Plini, epic. I really enjoyed the personal anecdote by the front man, as well as the accompanying sound effects provided by the other guitarist. Their songs were tight as fuck as well.
Intervals, oh Intervals. Thank you so very much for kicking your singer out of the band. When I think Intervals, I think epic, melodic, semi-djent, metal soundscapes...they definitely delivered. Jamming out with both the bassist and the lead guitarist of Plini, Intervals reached a top-notch level of awesomeness!
Despite having to waiting in line for about 45 minutes, even though I had already purchased a ticket (will call), this was a great show! Every band that I managed to catch absolutely killed it!! The venue was kind of cool too...
