First held more than 25 years ago, Super Bock Super Rock is among the most established, esteemed and popular festivals in Portugal.
In that quarter of a century the festival has moved home several times, from sites across Lisbon to a coastal home to the south of the capital at Meco – the location for the 2019 edition. But what hasn't changed in that time is the commitment to showcasing impressive lineups featuring acts from across the globe.
Not beholden to the 'rock' of the festival's name, the organisers regularly welcome stars of pop, electronic music, hip hop and more to appear alongside the indie and alternative music favourites, be them international established superstars or up-and-coming acts from the vibrant and varied Portuguese scene.
For fans of: Indie & Alt, Rock, Folk & Blues, Pop, Hip-Hop, Reggae, R&B, Funk & Soul, and Electronic.
Foals (formed in 2005) is an English alternative and indie rock band, known for combining minimalist soundscapes with dance and new wave influences, hailing from Oxford, England.
