I was denied entry for having a school ID rather than a driver's license. Biggest waste of $30. I don't recommend Bluebird Theater, but I bet the bands were great.
I've been trying to see them for years, three times the charm. It was a excellent show much appreciated mosh pits etc. I'd definitely go see the band again. #NYHC
Death metal is the kind of music that I really believe needs to be witnessed live. I know a lot of people don’t like the genre and say that the music is too heavy for them, but when you watch a band like Six Feet Under give the performance their absolute everything, running around stage, head banging, and dancing like mad whilst still maintaining solid instrumental and vocal performances, even if you don’t like the music, you have to at least be impressed!
The band are made up of four incredibly talented musicians with wonderful writing albums, and are the fourth best selling death metal act around in the US at the moment. Although their line-up has somewhat altered over the years, their addition of new members keeps their sound from growing stale and repetitive. They each played solid instrumental solos, and the singer, Chris Barnes, performed some remarkable vocals throughout the show. They concentrated predominantly on Unborn, their 2013 album, that hasn’t had much live exposure. Everyone at the show seemed familiar with the lyrics, so they encouraged us to sing along, which was great to feel involved with such a huge show.
Voivod put on an amazing show June 21 in London Ontario Canada playing classic hits off their 1984 debut record all the way up to their 2016 EP release. It was so amazing I can't wait till they come back! They were super nice guys giving autographs before and after the show and what an excellent choice of opening bands child bite and King parrot.
It was a pretty good show. I've seen Warbringer a few times before in years past and it felt like there was less energy this time. Maybe it was the sound quality, but I just didn't get as amped as I remember. Nonetheless, it was still fun and you should give them a chance if you have the opportunity. I'm going to assume it was an anomaly.
The best show I have seen in years!! Totally wicked good times, Gary as always was down to earth and hung with fans. The band had a great sound, mix, feel and power! Pure awesomeness!
