I don't if anyone will read this but I had terrible experience last night 2/27/19. In Richmond VA last night it was advertised that Moonchild would be playing at the National along with Jacquees so I bought two tickets. Needless to say Moonchild was not there! I seached the internet and found where you guys were on tour and would be in Richmond, this was a scam. Just thought you should know that this stuff is going on and could deter great fans like myself from attending real concerts. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
First of all let me start by saying Butcher Brown was DOPE. I enjoy there whole show. Moonchild was great really couldn't hear Amber the lead singer that well but the music was good. The venue was terrible ill never go back to the EL club ever again standing room only no place for a person with back issues or someone who can't stand for a long time. I also didn't like standing outside in the cold for a hour and a half waiting to get in then get inside and im still standing. Truthfully i was ready to leave before the performance started i was so pissed but i paid money to see it. If Moonchild comes back to Detroit they have to pick a different venue if im ever going to see them again.
The most amazing experience. It was like they perform in a different dimension. The aura was just unreal. They all get really into the show and each have amazing solos where they just jam. Super nice people as well with big hearts and are advocates for worthy causes and value other growing artists. Elise Trouw was outstanding. The pairing was great. The set list could not have been better. There wasn't a song that anyone didn't know. I think they played a new original in the encore and they also did a Jill Scott cover. Easily my favorite concert experience ever.
I saw them on Feb 15th in Paris @ La Maroquinerie and it was mesmerising!
needless to say, their talent at being multi-instrumentists was stunning
seeing such talented artists was a blessing, i even got to meet them, chat with them and let them sign my merch! they were humble and adorable! + their message (political and artistically speaking) is soooo important
the opening act (charlie burg) was also great
I’ve been a moonchild fan for YEARS and I’m glad people are finally getting to hear and experience their greatness!! The musical chemistry between Amber, Max and Andris is magical!! I’ve seen them live 4 times and I’m not the biggest Jill Scott fan, but I’m paying good money to see Moonchild since they’re touring with her. Do yourself a favor and hop on the moonchild train NOW!!!!
From the opening until the end, Moonchild was fantastic!
The only thing is Amber's microphone was way too low. Her voice was overtaken by the bass (excellent as it was). Rhythmically, the band was on point.
The atmosphere was totally electric. Everyone in there was chanting, singing, and cheering them on.
I love Moonchild. We have gone to see them a few times. The only thing Amber’s vocals are soft and the band needs to lower the sound to hear her. I don’t know if she can work on her vocals to make them stronger, I still love their vibe.
What a gift!! I absolutely loved their electric performance. Super talented and really play to their audience. I definitely will not miss them if they return. Love the modern change of tempo and yet their music brings a nostalgic feel.
Where have they been all my life?! Im so grateful to have experienced their live performance. So much dope amongst them. They kept the crowd engaged the whole time! I didn't want the concert to end. I cant wait for the next show!!
So fun, so much energy in the stage. Loved every minute! The songs are very meaningful. I purchased a vinyl to add to our collection. Safe travels to your upcoming Asia venues. Can’t wait for another Western tour.
