Bullet has been a common name for bands down the years, and it’s also one that doesn’t necessarily tell you a great deal about the group in question, so allow me to quickly reel off the influences listed on this Swedish outfit’s Facebook page: ‘Wild women, heavy metal, loud guitars, beer, Bon Scott, motorcycles.” That should just about give you the measure of this incarnation of Bullet, a heavy metal band who have a burgeoning following across Europe, and especially in Scandinavia. Playing no small part in their success to date are their raucous live shows, where everything seems done to excess - the volume, the energy, and the wild stage antics of the band themselves, especially singer Hell Hofer. Theirs is by no means a modern or original sound and they make little effort to contest that; instead, they give their fans what they want - rock and roll mayhem on a nightly basis. They’ve yet to really crack the UK scene, but their increasing popularity on the continent suggests that it might be nothing more than a matter of time.
