I was super excited to see Twin Peaks now that they are back from The UK. We have seen them live a few times now and honestly this time was the absolute BEST ! Musically, they play perfectly, vocally the same- so what separates them from other acts touring right now ? Song writing for one- but that just makes them a good band- what makes them great ? ENERGY ! They get the crowd into it. They start after some minor adjustments to the drums and microphone checks and go into Strawberry Smoothie and that song hits you like a Tsunami of sound. You feel it, you are now at a show of note is how the opening riff to that song hits you. I have no favorite song, because every one they play is my favorite and they mix in both records and 7 inch well. Making Breakfast, to Flavor to Come Bother Me to Sloop Jay D , to Stand In The Sand to every song you want to hear and end with Boomers. Boomers is a dual sided sword song for me - I love that song but I also know the show is over. The venue was small, but the performance was huge - I wish bigger acts earned their money the way these guys do. Clay is jumping around , singing just killing it- I don't think he stayed in the same spot for more than 3 seconds . Caiden is the professional, anchoring the band but he is shaking his head non stop and moving endlessly. Jack, well he is just going nuts. When he sings Sloop Jay D he just looks like rock and roll personified - you know how you would want to look if you were in front of a crowd ? Thats what he looks like . Connor is holding it down in the back in a spectrum of humanity and movement. If you turned the sound off and just watched you would think 4 people were having seizures , just utter chaos- but there is sound and it is PERFECT . From the banter to the performance Twin Peaks is THE BEST LIVE ACT in the United States . That is a bold statement . I have seen 37 concerts this year and will see a few more and I can say hands down, Twin Peaks is THE BEST LIVE ACT in the United States. They will be legendary !
If you love brash, rough and tumble, sweaty, rock 'n' roll that leaves you bruised and happier than you can remember being in a long time, Twin Peaks is your band. Their live set will propel you through rollicking melodies and hammer-strength drums, all with so much heart, soul, and good vibes, you never want it to end. Each member of the band who wrote a given song performs it, so you'll here from Jack (bass), Clay (guitar) and Cadien (guitar) throughout the set. Each one has their own style, but they all go together and they're all fantastic! They got everyone so fired up at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn, August 2014, the crowd surfers pulled the ceiling down and the stage was filled with fans. Want to see how happy this made everyone (including the band and the club, which gleefully re-posted this pic despite the extensive property damage)? Rolling Stone published this the next day calling it one of the best shows of 2014 http://www.rollingstone.com/music/pictures/the-hottest-live-photos-of-2014-20140102/twin-peaks-20140815 Truly great music with depth that belies the good times it references and creates, plus an exuberant, all-in stage presence from every member of the band (even Cadien who has to play seated due to a broken leg he got during on-stage shenanigans with the Orwells at SXSW) means a rock 'n' roll show like you've never experienced, meaning the TIME OF YOUR LIFE. Oh yeah, and definitely pick up the album "Wild Onion." It is phenomenal, one of those real "soundtrack of your life" albums.
Seeing Twin Peaks at the Barfly in Camden was my first experience with the band live and they did not disappoint. This was easily the liveliest gig I've ever been to; the band ooze energy and are clearly putting everything they have into their performance.
It wasn't just energy that filled the room, but pure joy. Everywhere I looked people were having a good time and sure, it was a bit rowdy, but that's the point isn't it? There is nothing worse than being at a gig where people are just standing around, not getting into the experience and I can promise you that a Twin Peaks show will never be like that.
Even though I was familiar with their music before, hearing their songs live was a completely new experience; they were different but still familiar in the best possible way. People were singing, screaming along and even my friend who had never even heard any of their songs before was screaming and dancing like there was no tomorrow.
The support acts, Tangerines and Thee MVPs, got the crowd perfectly riled up for the main event. As soon as Twin Peaks hit the stage, the crowd went wild.
Expect stage diving, sweat, maybe some vomit and a great time.
There's a reason these guys are my favorite band.
If you want music that screams "FEEL GOOD" and "SUMMER" at you without feeling limp or sounding like indie, try Twin Peaks, you will have no regrets about it. This is garage rock narrowed and refined, pulling inspiration from the great rock legends of old and forging ahead in their own fashion. You can't help but smile when listening to their songs; I know, I've tried.
For the most part, their live performance was up to snuff with their recordings. "Sweet Thing" was a little sketchy, but otherwise, they were tremendous. Very laid back, very energetic, these guys could honestly get a cemetery to dance if they tried.
If these guys come to your town, do yourself a favor and catch them. Maybe it's not the most complex or sophisticated of music, but it is a good time, I guarantee it.
This was my third time seeing Twin Peaks, but my first as a headliner. These guys have so much energy and are super genuinely nice guys. Caiden and Colin were super friendly to the fans who talked to them. They always put on a super great performance. Yeah, they don't sound exactly like they do on the record live if that's what you're looking for. But hear me out, they sound way better live. It's a whole experience because they pour so much energy into their sets.
One of the better shows i've ever been to. Crowd was small but definitely super energetic. supporting band Modern Vices was absolutely astonishing (bought some of their mercy because they were THAT good). Twin Peaks themselves were great as usual. They put on an amazing show. I'd definitely see them again. I even got to meet Jack & Clay which was pretty awesome. Overall good experience with the venue and all. i'll definitely be returning for smaller shows like these.
Super dope band, insanely charismatic and energetic.
The entire audience was sweaty, stoned and stoked to see them play and damn they delivered.
They honestly carried a vibe that I haven't seen for a while outside of high school house-show basements- seedy, raw and electric rock and roll that was completely unapologetic and why should they be?
They killed it.
Rock and Roll is alive, I assure you. Stage diving, clothes optional, tantalizing smells of marijuana, and beer drinking a mandatory. White Mystery opened for Hinds, Hinds opened for Twin Peaks. Wow. Clever, entertaining, thought provoking, LIVE, humor, action and love of music!
Thank you Twin Peaks, Hinds, and White Mystery!

SO RAD. My little brothers first concert and he loved it. Truly got the full experience. We got to be front and center and the band really interacted with us. Even the opener got us pumped. Would definitely see them again.
