Born out of the ashes of previous act ‘Las Insolitas Imágenes de Aurora’ , Saúl Hernández, Alfonso André and Alejandro Marcovich officially formed Caifanes in 1986. Their first show came in 1987 and provided an early indicator of their success when the venue was packed out, leaving fans out in the streets.
Word of the band spread throughout Mexico, known for their radical look and sound which was seen as a stark contrast to the popular artists of the time. Their unique look was inspired by British acts like The Cure, which was cool in the UK but the make-up and black suits were often too much for many in the Mexican industry.
Eventually the band, alongside other Rock en Español acts, became too much for the industry to ignore and the band eventually signed with RCA-Ariola. After selling out the 10000 capacity Mexico Auditorium for two shows, there could be no doubting the band’s success. With the release of their second album ‘El Diablito’, the band really cemented the Mexican Rock sound which the band would become synonymous with.
By 1994 the band were at an all-time high in popularity, selling out stadiums and other huge shows however personal tensions led to a split in 1995. However by 2010 the band had buried the hatchet and reformed to play huge shows at places like Coachella and others.

Performance was really good, I'm glad Saul Hernandez keeps his voice like the old times; they play all the hits and surprised with some less popular but good songs.
Sound mix was poor, at the beginning bass was really load, then it was the keyboard; Saul voice was difficult to hear because of this issues.
During mid concert Saul asked his fans to support the victims of recent earthquake; also asked the people to stop looking for enemies and to find spiritual peace, however some fans didn't get the message and were bad-behaving kicking other concert-goers; I enjoyed when he indirectly called them primitive beens.
One thing I'm really disappointed was the time: tickets said 7:00 pm but the band started to play at 10:15 pm! This is really unacceptable, imagine if you have to drive back home at 12:00 am during 1 hour because the organizers wanted to sell more beers.
Excellent concert, two hours of timeless hits, clean all ages, respectful, no nonsense or liberal agenda entertainment, they just put up a great show! Venue was clean and presentable, the energy Caifanes displayed was awesome!
Viajamos desde Miami hasta chicago al show, lamentamos que este tipo de eventos no sucedan en Miami o sus cercanias,, gracias, en este momento llegando al aeropuerto de miami amanecidos pero felices.
Took them three hours to get on stage!!! That was annoying considering they are up there because of their loyal fan base. But other than that, they were great! They played many of their classics!
Awesome concert even though i came a little late but now my life is now complete after seeing caifanes live in concert!. One of the best nights of my life and one of my favorite bands ever!
The Concert was AWESOME, the only bad thing was the securities smell like marihuana. At the end of the show the securities were rude with ppl demamding to get out, and they had actitud.
Well Caifanes are my Gods their concerts are rituals where I can fly and feel free!! I never miss their ritual. So the only think that I can say is. It was amazing like always
