Christian pop music always has catchy hooks and choruses, but Rend Collective’s experimental folk twist on the genre makes it incredibly exciting and engaging to watch. The Irish band are one that I’ve followed for some time, so I was really excited to see them perform live, and I’m really glad to say that I wasn’t at all disappointed. They opened their show with Gareth Gilkeson on stage along, launching straight into the opening beat for Campfire, and the rest of the band ran on stage to join in with him. It was a super exciting way to start the show, and from the first moment every single audience member was totally on board, singing and dancing along.
They played a great selection of their tracks from over the years from their debut album Organic Family Hymnal, through to The Art of Celebration, and Chris Llewellyn was incredible at shouting out to the audience and keeping us invested in the show. He was throwing his arms up to the air and we were following suit, getting involved with the show. Each instrumentalist played a great solo and Steve Mitchell and Patrick Thompson had a really cool guitar battle with each other, which kept the audience cheering away as it was something that you don’t get to experience on the recordings.
This band is so amazing. The messages in the songs and the encouragement is so uplifting. I really needed the reminder to get back up from the floor, because right now life is really knocking me down. Praise God that He is directing you to such a wonderful path. My non-Christian friend went with me and my two Christian best friends and we are praying this show planted a seed in her heart for Christ. Praise God!
They are amazing!! The Holy Spirit rocked the house!! It was all about God and edifying us to go out and be God's messenger's claiming the Gospel!! I loved all the unique and cool instruments they played. I love how they made us feel like a part of their family who just happened to be joining them for a night of worship!!
The Good News Tour was by far one of the best concerts I have been to. It was a true worship experience. It wasn't just about the music but about connecting to God in worship. I really appreciated that the lyrics were always posted. May The Lord continue to bless Rend Collective in their ministry.
They were so energetic filled with spirit and Fantastic! The group was extremely talented in every musical instrument too. This Irish group infused life into the concert. They were the one of the opening groups for David Crowder. I would have loved to see both groups on stage together.
Only one word needed AMAZING!
But since I have to write more. This was my second time seeing them and this time was even more life changing. So uplifting and so much energy when they perform. A must see again God willing. Thank you Lord for such a wonderful opportunity to praise You!
Winter Jam was a terrific night of a worship music. I have only been able to see Rend Collective once before and they do not disappoint. What a talented and energetic group of Christians. Love their Irish accents!
This group was awesome. They were so alive and really got the crowd going. I loved how great their voices sounded. They are all spectacular artists. I wish they could have played longer.
This was not a concert. It was a 4-hour party hosted by the Holy Spirit. What an incredible experience! I’ll be seeing Rend Collective again at the earliest reasonable opportunity.
