I have been going to concerts since I was 12. As of this post, I am 28. Let it be known: PFM's performance was the best show I have ever seen at Whisky a Go Go.
PFM is far too talented to be relegated to such an entry-level venue. With about seven or eight people on stage, musical improvisation and sound management are no easy tasks. However, these gentlemen from Italy perfected every moment.
The sound was crisp. The notes were solid. The improvised portions felt natural.
These dudes can communicate with one another as if they live in symbiosis, all while they have a good time of their own. Even Franz Di Cioccio (one of the founding members, who handles drums, percussion, lead vocals, and backing vocals) appeared liked a kid who was locked up in a closet for days and then was allowed to play outside on a sunny day. He had a *blast* on stage, and it was damn contagious with the audience.
There were musical wizards on stage that night; I couldn't believe I experienced such magic 10 feet away from the stage.
That was one of the best experiences I've had in my entire life. I Love Progressive Rock!
I am Brazilian, I am 41 years old and I have heard PFM since I was 14 years old.
Thank you so much for bringing them to London and for more progressive rock bands coming soon!
