Ryan Star

It is often contested as to whether reality TV shows are a platform for producing something more than manufactured, run of the mill pop artists, but in the case of Ryan Star, this seems to be true. Starting his career on CBS show ‘Rockstar’ in 2002, which aimed to find a lead singer for rock band Supernova, Ryan has proved that we can still live in hope that these shows can produce authentic musicians.

Going from strength to strength over the past decade or so, his growth as an artist is clear to see in his live show. His versatile style is carefully showcased through his catalogue of songs, ranging from the powerful rock vocals of crowd favourite ‘Start a Fire’ to the smooth and soulful sound of single ‘Breathe’. One of the most memorable gigs that I have had the pleasure of attending was the sold-out night at Irving Plaza in NYC back in 2010, the night that the debut album ‘11:59’ was released.

The excitement that filled the crowd and Star alike created a buzz that was unforgettable, as fans that had been there from the start celebrated the success that we had been waiting for! I have followed Ryan Star’s career from the beginning and have had the pleasure of witnessing his development as an artist.
