Xandria

Seeing a band live who are renowned for their epic live performances is always incredible, and although I love listening to their recordings, this was the main reason that I was hyped to go and see Xandria perform live. The lights were out and three blue spot lights began to cover the stage, as the smoke machine erupted its dry ice across the stage. When the lights finial came up, the drummer was stood behind his kit with his arms in the air, as the rest of the band made their way on stage.

The symphonic metal band opened with their track Nightfall, and immediately everyone in the audience was captivated and singing and dancing along totally full out. Although the band have had several line up changes, in my opinion, these have only made the band stronger and have allowed them to keep creating new and exciting music without the restrictions of what they’ve always done. Their new vocalist has the most incredible voice, and hearing her sing opera styled music over the top of metal guitar and drums was the perfect juxtaposition of sounds.

Xandria's weakness is their unability to keep their singer more than 2 years.... and when Aeva appeared on stage, the deception was huge among the audience since most of the people expected the extraordinary Dianne.....

Xandria's strength is their talent to write excellent songs and finaly they are pleasant to hear whoever sings them.

The concert was nice and Aeva did a good performance although she is not a classic soprano singer as was the extraordinary Dianne but she did the job.

2 years ago, Xandria performed in Paris in a big hall and their show was sold out and their concert was magic.

Last week, they played in a smaler hall and it was half empty.... the boys tried to show us that they were happy and that everything was perfect but we all felt that there is a deep uneasiness between them....

It will be hard for the band to recover from Dianne's departure........

Xandria offered yesterday a great show to Paris.

They played for more than one hour and we could once again be delighted by their hight musicality.

Ms Dianne van Giersbergen is the best singer this band ever had and she realized yesterday a new outsdanting performance.

Once again, there was something majestically powerful in her mesmerizing vocal harmonies.

Her live vocals were incredible and she demonstrated that she is the best live performers in symphonic metal.

She is also the Voice of symphonic metal.

I hope that Xandria would come back soon in Paris for a new amazing concert.

Great to see the band again..this was their last Camadiandate tour so what a treat we received. However, I wanted to hear Save my Life but closing song Valentine's was a close second.
