On the stage 4 chairs, a cajón, an accordion, a drum set, a bass drum and the signature cello with patterns that make it look like embroidery.
Enter the musicians, the ladies wearing long white gowns with black floral patterns.
Tataryn-Bratko, the first song of the set, gives a first taste of what the artists mean when they define their genre as ethno-chaos. They had a layer of drums that would make a Brazilian samba band envious to a folk song, originally acapella.
Many of the songs follow a common pattern, the voices of the ladies intertwined in a choir, the cello played roughly and dirt on the same registrer.
Marko's scat-like meowing appears also in several songs.
The crowd pleasers that make people dance, like Lado or Yanky are mixed with more somber songs, sometimes hard to distinguish from one another.
The animations by Sashko Danylenko for Karpatskyi Rap and Monakh are quite good.
Vesna is the highlight of the concert in my opinion.
