I'm a Colombian girl who had the dream of coming to the UK to do a masters degree and learn a lot about life. To achieve that goal, I had to work very hard to be financially able to survive around here. In those nights without sleep and lots of effort, Todd Terje were in my ears cheering me up with his sick tracks, making me dance in my desk at 4:00 am while doing massive projects that would allow me to accomplish my dream. Almost a year after that, I was standing in Bristol in the Love Saves the Day festival waiting for Todd Terje to get up in the stage and have the amazing feeling of living a dream. He started with "Inspector Norse" and my body disappeared. I became one with his music and every inch of my body was sparkling with happiness. That's what Todd Terje makes you feel live, you're nothing but music and dance, floating in the air of an infinite sea of happiness. Not even the rain could stop hundreds of people enjoying this "time machine" norwegian Dj. His unique style doesn't let you stop dancing and takes you years back into old disco floors and better times. People around you just smile with you, dancing becomes the only language and the crowd 'boogies' together in a party where everybody is full of positive feelings. I would go to a Todd Terje again anytime, one of the best experiences of my life by far!
Was very disappointed as what was marketed as a 'live' show turned out to be him with his laptop, with the occasional bit of playing along on the keyboard (presumably for legal reasons). Todd himself looked like he'd rather be somewhere else, and the set was short with no visual show as in some videos online. Overall felt a bit cheated, definitely not worth the money.
I really thought that the gig will be with a full band (since it was Todd Terje LIve). Also, the supporting act (special guests???) was a dj - in all honesty fun but nothing special - i expected a live act!!!! VERY VERY DISSAPOINTING for the price I paid - £27? It was basically a club night... not impressed!
I LOVE his albums so it was such a surprise when I got so bored at the concert :/ I think I'll keep loving his music from the comfort of my headphones :) Still love him though!
