Robin Schulz started making music in 2007, at the age of 20. At an early age, Schulz developed a love for electronic music beginning to mix and create sets in his adolescence. He was initially inspired by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, MANDY and Booka Shade, incorporating tracks by these artists into his mixes. Between 2007-2009, Schulz became involved with the local party series, known as “Electro Snippets,” helping to develop his own ideas. His initial creations were minimalist affairs, although as his experience developed, he moved towards a deep house/tech house sound. Other influences include Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez and Tiesto.
In creating his music, Schulz often uses FL Studio and his Edirol PCR-300 MIDI keyboard, produced using Ableton Live 8. In 2013, he remixed the track, “Waves,” by Dutch hip hop artist Mr Pobs, which went on to be a huge hit. It reached the top spot of the German, Austrian, Norway, Swedish, Swiss and UK charts, as well as reaching the top ten in seven other countries. It was certified Gold and Platinum in several countries.
He returned in 2014 with another successful remix, of Lilly Wood & The Prick’s track, “Prayer in C,” from their 2010 album, “Invincible Friends.” “Prayer in C” topped the charts in several European countries and was a massive dance-floor hit, reaching number one in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, as well as several others. His debut album, “Prayer,” was released in September 2014, reaching the top ten in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and in the US Dance Chart.

I was extremely pumped at the prospect of seeing Robin Schulz live, being a massive fan of the single‘Prayer in C’, with the tune having been stuck in an endless loop in my head for weeks prior. I’m not normally a massive house music fan, as to me it normally just seems like a jumbled mess of noise, but Schulz’s music really drew me in and I have to admit, I’m converted! Schulz’s music is a form of deep house that I can actually appreciate: lively, energetic and fun. Dancing to Schulz is like dancing on a flashy boat in summer with a bottle of fizzing champagne in your hand (this is a strictly hypothetical image, unfortunately I have never done this). Schulz’s DJ abilities were accompanied with a number of collaborators and backing singers and dancers, which made for one hell of a show. The gig felt more like a party than a concert, with massive anthems such as ‘Waves’, ‘Prayer in C’ and ‘Sun Goes Down’ making the crowd go absolutely wild. Perfect for getting you in that summer spirit, Schulz is one DJ not to be missed.
This guys house music is deeeeeep. He fits right in with the popular house cadets that have taken over the charts.
And live he is like no other. I'm not slating MK because he has done extremely well to get to where he now is, on every Kiss playlist going...Whereas Robin Schulz really puts 110% into his live work. He keeps the crowd going for a full hour thirty set which is a difficult task. Whats better is that he is playing live on News years eve...I mean NYE! That's crazy! He is working on New years eve in the later hours and the early hours of New Years Day no doubt. That right there is dedication and proves that he loves to perform live, it's the best perk of the job.
If you can get tickets to see him on NYE then bravo my friends, you are in for the best New years of your lives. If not then try your hardest to see him live anywhere else. Listen to his Live @ Mayday 2014 mix on youtube when your getting ready to go out and everyone will be in the best party mood.
This is the WORST venue I have gone to date…they oversold the event, we had to wait for someone to show up with a scanner to get in, eventually someone showed up with an iPhone taking photos of our tickets and giving us a paper ticket, the guards/security were rude and nasty, it took 15 minutes to get after we finally receive our paper ticket…coat check closed…bar impossible to get a drink, waited 40 minutes, so crowded you weren’t able to move anywhere, people were complaining everywhere, we got so fed up, we dropper the bar line and we walked out…as for Robin Schultz I have no idea as I am sure he was good. I will strongly suggest to avoid this venue all together, they oversell, the sell ticket at the event…AVOID LAVO IT’S THE WORST PLACE, ALMOST AS BAD AS THE MARQUIS
It was a really great concert in Munich, all popular songs and others were performed + a stunning show with fantastic light, videoscreen effects and specials such as fireworks and other special elements. The atmosphere was very good with the Olympiahalle fully crowded, but chilled audience and DJ. Biggest surprise was the extra push of volume and effects compared to the pre show DJs and partly trumpet / violin players included. We can fully recommend Robin Schulz concerts!
Being honest I was at Liv miami and went because I do love Robin Shultz but not who I thought I was going to enjoy so much... but wow;... speechless (Gwow!!!!);; there are those DJ’s that engage in a way that others don’t and I’m counting the days to see him live again!!! At this point he is my hands down fav DJ and I literally keep looking at the schedule to see when he’s close enough to experience him again!!!
The show was awesome! It was great seeing him perform live. The only thing missing was that he didn't play my favorite song "Willst du" . That is one of his greatest hits and I really waited all night for that. I assume maybe the song is in German and maybe he thought it wouldn't be liked much by LA audience, but it has great beats to it. Other than that, alles war ausgezeichnet!
I unfortunately was not able to see Robin Schulz.
LET ME STATE THAT I BOUGHT A TICKET AND THEN AT THE EVENT THE BOUNCERS THREW IT AWAY, LET ME ENTER, BUT FAILED TO TELL ME THAT HE WOULD BE 3 HOURS LATE TO THE EVENT.
Thus, I didn't get to witness one of my favorite DJ's perform. I lost a lot of respect for him and music.
I can't say enough about Robin Schulz. He is a great musician and an entertainer. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. The venue, Intrigue at the Wynn Las Vegas was a very nice place, the service and the ambience was perfect. We both love Robin Schulz and listen to his music all the time on Pandora.
