Biographie
Hailing from Brighton, England, the group set out to freshen up the indie music scene. While Lovejoy is still a very young band, its high-energy beats and relatable, feel-good lyrics make it a name to watch in the indie landscape.
Dynamic, team-based songwriting is one of Lovejoy’s most unique strengths. With every band member involved in the writing process, the band continually curates a plethora of game-changing songs for loyal listeners. There’s no doubt Lovejoy draws inspiration from artists like Grouplove, Foster the People, and alt-J. These incredible influences weave its way into the band’s catalog without sacrificing Lovejoy’s original energy.
Thanks to frontman Soot’s previous online popularity from video game streaming, comedic routines, and internet memes, Lovejoy had no problem finding initial success. Combining the lead vocalist’s social media presence with each member’s individual talent in songwriting, guitar, and drums helped pave the way for the band’s originality.
Despite Lovejoy’s recent start in the indie scene, the band didn’t hold back on taking everything to the next level. Following its formation, Lovejoy released its debut EP Are You Alright? in 2021. Featuring tracks like “One Day” and “Sex Sells,” the album defined the band’s signature sound. As each fast-paced song set the tone for a dream-worthy discography, Lovejoy continued to strive for more.
Lovejoy’s second EP Pebble Brain dropped in October 2021, further securing Lovejoy’s place in the scene. The group took on classic British indie sounds while offering a lively twist. By staying true to every member’s youthful demeanor, Lovejoy was able to captivate fans with relatable coming-of-age lyrics. The EP easily made its way up numerous charts, including the Billboard 200 in the US. Because of Pebble Brain’s success, the band was more determined than ever to take the indie world by storm.
Lovejoy topped off 2021 with a daring cover of the Los Campesinos! track “Knee Deep at ATP.” Soft yet bold rock-inspired elements invaded every second of Lovejoy’s rendition. It proved the band’s capability to adapt no matter what.
The power of social media and online virality help Lovejoy continuously stay in the spotlight. The band enjoys over one million dedicated listeners on music platforms like Spotify. A handful of its hit songs garnered nearly 80 million streams to date, shaking up numerous playlists daily.
No one can deny Lovejoy’s growing presence in indie and mainstream music, especially after announcing its upcoming Inselaffe Tour. The four-piece group will hit up European cities like Glasgow, Berlin, and Amsterdam, connecting with new and old fans along the way.

genuinely the most insane night of my life. finally seeing lovejoy perform after being a wilbur fan since 2019, and a fan of lovejoy even before releases was the best thing ive ever experienced. lovejoy birmingham was perfect, with everyone being super sweet and whenever something happened it was immediately dealt with. the boys performed so well despite the issues with the heat, and i cannot even begin to describe how much this night meant to me. i hope to see them perform live again soon. thank you for a life-changing night.

Your concert was amazing! I had to watch it though though a video my friend sent me though. I wish you guys can come to Portland, Oregon again because when you came there in December of 2021 me and my dad would listen to your music and I wasn't old enough to go at the time. But I saw the concerts are 14+ and i'm turning 14 this up coming month so I hope that in the future you guys can come to Portland, Oregon again so I can see your concert in person. But I hope you have a great day or night though!

best day of my life. i cried the second they came on stage, i’ve been a wilbur fan since late 2019 and a lovejoy fan before there name even got released. i love it so much i ended up seeing them again on the same week. we fought so hard for the tickets and i’m so glad we didn’t give up bc it rly was the best experience of my life. money comes back memories don’t.

I hope they come to Michigan!!! I want to see one of their concerts for my birthday so much but they aren't coming anywhere near the U.S. before the 24th! This sucks so I have to get to one of their concerts that are earlier or get a passport and that isn't going to happen. T_T

Aw man, I wish you guys could do concerts by Washington or Oregon atleast, it would be thousands of dollars to go to the UK and I really wanna see one, like the one on March 28th is my birthday and I tried to tell my mom if I could go and said no and it was expensive :(

Really great gig in Manchester, was one of the lucky few that got in. They sung a couple unreleased songs and played an extra, they really got everyone hyped. Definitely lessened my ear life span (mainly from the fans screaming) but was very worth it.

You guys should come to Charlotte, North Carolina. It’s pretty big and there is lots of things to do and places to do your concerts at. There’s lots of people here that would be excited to see you and I’m one of them!

I would love to see yall in Arkansas, or even Oklahoma. There are plenty good venues in OK and the walmart AMP is AR is awesome! Idk what else to put here i just need more words to submit :p
