The gig was held in the smaller J2 venue at Cambridge junction which proved a great move as it made the event more intimate.
The lovely Sophie Barker ( zero 7) provided a wonderful start with some acoustic versions of her classics. Sophie was supported by guitar and violin and the scene was set
Toby marks and Banco De Gaia joined stage with a huge screen back drop which was perfect for the constant film coverage. Half way through even Toby turned round to watch
Almost from the start the quiet audience found their space and were flowing to the gigs wicked vibes. Throughout the haunting Tibetan rhythms and bass line just everyone dancing
The highlight had to be when Sophie rejoined the stage and we were treated to a version of Heroes in respect of David Bowie
Brilliant I loved it
Fantastic gig. The ambient music from Toby and Andrew was stunning, and Patrick's visuals fitted perfectly. The venue was very intimate and the acoustics worked really well. Great to chat with Toby at the end of the gig - one very happy Banco fan here....
Absolutely fantastic- the drummer, Toby and the bass player clearly loved suing for us too.
They played for over 2 hours, complete Last Train to Llasa and then banging tunes from other albums- brilliant
