After winning a competition to have his song published by a French record label, Gregorie started to make his mark as a singer songwriter on the music industry. I’ve listened to a few of his tracks before and thoroughly enjoyed them, but when my friend asked me to come to his show I was a little apprehensive. I was worried that I’d get bored because of the language barrier, and I didn’t know many of his songs, but oh my goodness I am so glad I went! As soon as he’s finished his first song, I bought his newest album on iTunes there and then.
He played a great selection of songs from his older work, right up to his brand new work, and his voice complimented every song he tackled. The distinctive husky tone with a huge range had the audience cheering non stop, and he even taught us a section of one of his songs to sing along with when he got to the chorus. It was incredible to be so involved with the show, and I can’t believe I’ve not listened to more of his music before. He’s one of the most talented songwriters I’ve come across in a long time, and his performance and dedication to everything he played, made the whole show magical.
