The band consists of Gary LeVox on vocals, Jay DeMarcus playing bass guitar, keys, and singing backing vocals, and Joe Don Rooney who is on the electric guitar and backing vocals. Since their early days, the band have been signed and producing incredible up beat music, with all of their singles reaching at least the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, with 12 of those sitting comfortably at number one. Le Voc and DeMarcus come from a musical background, and are actually second cousins, whilst Rooney is a close friend who DeMarcus met playing guitar for Chely Wright’s band and began playing as a trio.
The trio have won a staggering 45 awards over their 15 years in the industry, including a Grammy Award in 2007 for Best Country Sound for their track Bless the Broken Road. Amongst their back catalogue of great tracks, are their hit singles Why Wait, Take Me there, and Fast Cars and Freedom, which are knock out every time they’re performed. Most recently, the band have been touring extensively, currently on their Rewind Tour (2014).
As well as being incredible musician and multi-instrumentalists, they are involved with several charities, donating millions of dollars to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s hospital, and also participate within the Red Cross.
Oh, the Rascal Flatts! I honestly can not think of any sufficient words to describe these three wonderful men!
Apart from their beautiful faces, they bring so much action to each of their shows! They put on such a great show, they know what their fans want to hear, and their performance is to die for!
They are sure to have a meet-and-greet before their shows (which, unfortunately, I haven't had the honor of attending as of yet) so if you would love the chance to meet them, and have the means, it's a good idea. I hear they're quite lovely people! Their melodic voices go hand in hand with their amazing set up and it all works together like a dream! All the lights, not to mention their outfits, fit together as part of who the men are themselves that it would almost be worth it just to go see the stage show with them just standing there... but who doesn't wanna listen to them either way!
The whole show is quite the performance from watching them sing the songs you love to them joking around with each other! You won't be disappointed! It's well worth the time to see them... again and again!
