Brooklyn rockers TVOD fuse post-punk, egg punk and krautrock into driving, hook-filled songs built to move bodies. Led by singer-songwriter Tyler Wright, their music pairs raw, often tongue-in-cheek lyricism with gritty storytelling — drawing on nightlife, heartbreak, oddball memories and the realities of DIY life in New York.
Emerging in 2019 from basement 4-track recordings, TVOD quickly built momentum with early EPs Daisy and Victory Garden, alongside a run of singles that showcased their restless, genre-blurring sound. Their output balances scrappy immediacy with sharp melodic instincts, earning praise for its ability to feel both chaotic and tightly wound.
Now a six-piece, the band have developed a reputation for explosive, unpredictable live shows, touring across the US, Canada and Europe and appearing at festivals including SXSW and Sled Island. With new material on the way via Mothland, TVOD continue to carve out their place as one of New York’s most vital underground bands.
