Dotan

Dutch singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Dotan Harpenau, or just Dotan, has just begun his upward climb in the music industry. He has released two albums, and has helped him gain a large following of fans.

Although he is a multi-instrumentalist, he has a live band supporting him during his live sets. Backed by a drummer, guitarist, bassist and keyboardist, he also has a guitar and drum set up close by for him to use. Watching him perform is such a joy, especially since he is so passionate and into his performance. The emotions and feel good nature is so contagious and you can feel the music completely take over you. His vocals are so good live, and take on a whole new level higher than when you listen to his recorded versions of his songs. He is a bit swoony as well, talking to his fans that cheer without end. He has got a smirk that comes across as he thanks the audience for their support, and the lightheartedness with which he speaks only adds to the effect. The sheer natural talent is so obvious and he is such a joy to watch and great to listen to with such high energy.

He's a humble, sweet and funny guy and a great storyteller between songs. Has such a lovely voice and really gives the performance his all. Played plenty of old songs and some new ones, just him, a friend and two guitars, which made the show very intimate and personal. Even ended the show by playing unplugged in the middle of the audience, was amazing to be a part of that. Great show, highly recommend seeing Dotan live!!

An amazing show last night; I've known the artist, and now I know the real person Dotan is. It wasn't just a concert; it was a meeting. I had so much fun last night with amazing and lovely people !

What an incredibly talented singer/songwriter!!
His sound is refreshingly natural and honest: very Ben Howard-esk, but with a bit of extra bang.

I could not recommend Dotan enough - buy a ticket as soon as you can!!
