Penguin Cafe

My wife kept leaning over and whispering "This is so beautiful, isn't it" "It's lovely, really lovely" and other similar comments. We go to concerts quite frequently and have been together for over 25 years, and she has NEVER done that before, and I agreed with her. Enough said.

I travelled from the Midlands to Glasgow to hear Penguin Cafe at The Mackintosh Church Queens Cross. It was totally worth the journey. The venue itself is stunning and the acoustics and audience were fantastic. An unforgettable experience; I have never heard them sound so good.

Gorgeous. Like visiting a world apart that exists always, in a forgotten and timeless land. Penguin Cafe played a few songs by their founder, Simon Jeffes, but mostly looked forward. They even played a Penguin interpretation of an EDM hit. Please come to California...
