DJ and producers Sunnery James& Ryan Marciano first appeared in 2009 with the track “The Desert” released on Dirty Dutch Music. Since then however, the pair have grown significantly in experience and skill, and earned a huge, club-oriented audience in the process. Some of the duo’s early releases include the singles “Pondo” in 2009, “Snitch / Traffic Jam” in 2010, and “Lethal Industry” in 2011. Aiding Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano’s success was respected DJs Pete Tong, Sander van Doom, and David Guetta, who have all supported the pair’s releases.
The single “Finally Here” arrived in 2012 on Spinnin’ Record, followed by the release of EP “Firefaces (I’m Not Listening) (Energy 2013 Anthem)”, and the singles “Stiffness”, “Ultronic”, “Triton”, and “S.O.T.U” in 2013. On top of their original releases however, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano also began making a name for themselves as talented DJs. Showcasing the group’s versatility, the pair has remixed a host of artists’ tracks including Afrojack’s “Take Over Control”, Kaskade’s “Dynasty”, Hardwell’s “Lift U Up”, and Ferry Corsten’s “Ain’t No Stoppin’”.
Once again released on Spinnin’ Records, the duo released the singles “Salute”, “Circus” and “One Life” featuring Miri Ben-Ari, in 2014, the same year they contributed to the dance compilation “Miami 14” alongside MYNC, Carnage, and Wayne & Woods. 2015 brought more single releases for Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, including “Red Moon”, “Come Follow”, and “Karusell”.

The electronic dance music duo from the Netherlands, Summery James & Ryan Marciano absolutely rocked my socks off at their recent performance. Although they weren’t speaking English, they were shouting out to the crowd and gesturing with their hands, so everyone was dancing and cheering back. The duo are incredibly energetic, and their house music is heightened in it’s enjoyment by their dancing, and incredible mixing.
The duo opened their show with Lethal Industry, one of their most well known tracks, and had the entire audience going crazy for their music. Watching some DJs I find can be slightly monotonous as they’re relatively passive in their performance, but these guys were the complete opposite. In one of their tracks they shouted out to the audience ‘we are your friends’ and got us to repeat it back multiple times, before launching straight into another track.
When they played their track Flash, they performed a synchronised dance routine, mixing, and putting their arms up to the crowd, and with the backing lighting, it was incredible to watch. It also massively showcased their talent, with the skill and timing needed to get that down without missing a beat or transition. Hopefully these guys are an act we’re going to hear a lot of over the coming years.
