Greensky Bluegrass

Greensky Bluegrass, the name alone tells you how immensely pleasant the music emanating from this band has become. The five member progressive bluegrass band sound fine as ever, this is the music that I love and apparently the whole of the venue too. The type of music which allows you to forget you're even listening as the sound takes you away from the world and makes you forget life's little issues, a prime example would be their song 'demons'. Music so natural that it just lets you get away from the world even if it's only for a short duration, that is the purpose of music and they have done an amazing job of fulfilling what so few manage to accomplish. 'Atlantic City' a cover of Bruce Springsteen's original, was well received by the audience and why wouldn't it be, these men have such an aura around them while they are on stage. You can feel the love vibrate off their music and put you in a place where pain and panic are just powerless words, with all natural instruments being played it's nice to see a band that relies more upon skill rather than the so familiar electricity we're all obsessed over. i feel as though paying for this show was like paying for a warm bubble bath in the great city of Atlantis and that right there is not something you hear every day! Greensky Bluegrass, although new comers to their genre, have done enough justice and made enough beautiful melodies to become recognised by all, buy tickets if they are near you, they are the remedy to many of life's little problems.

Greensky Bluegrass is not your grandfather's music. They're making new music for a younger generation(average audience age 25-35). They are the best touring band out there! Other bands can fake it on a recording by adding effects or recording multiple takes until they get it right. Greensky does right live, the first time, every night. I was surprised their instruments didn't burst into flames or start smoking the picking was so hot. They have great musical communication between each other. They really get the crowd involved and dancing. If you want to have a great time and see some world class music, go check out Greensky Bluegrass! You won't be disappointed.

I don’t know that I can find words to do this band justice. If you haven’t seen Greensky Bluegrass live, make sure you prioritize it. This band is not a genre band-they take genre, layer it with others, then create something new right in front of you. Their synchronicitization, among themselves and the crowd, is ineffable. If you’re someone who wants to have an extended flow experience, a peek experience, an experience of unity and/or have your mind blown, go see them. They are the makers of great music and great experience.
(The light show ain’t bad either.)

They were phenomenal! I have listened to this band for several years and have purchased several of their CDs. They are an awesome band and do a great job entertaining their audience. They are very passionate about their music and they play their hearts out! I go to concerts frequently and this is one of the best shows I have seen this year! They exceeded my expectations and I will definitely go see them again, when they are in town.

Outstanding! They’ve been on my list to see for sometime and they did not disappoint. If you love bluegrass, they are a must see. They also showed they versatility with a few other songs, the bluegrass way.

Saw them at Stubb's Austin 11/16/2018. Great sound, great lights, solid show. The opening tune really drew me in and it was followed by a cover of Money for Nothing, which was fun. I'd see them again.

As usual, Greensky Bluegrass never disappoints! It was such a great show at one of my favorite venues! Don't miss these guys when they come to your town! Their talent should not be missed!
