Been a fan of Cody Jinks for only about one year, so a little late to the party.
However, one word describes his Dallas House of Blues show, last night. WOW! His show was absolutely packed with loyalists who were grateful for Cody's authentic, raw and honest songs about himself and life.
Cody truly possesses the "it" factor for today's singersongwriters who connect and hit a nerve and emotion with listeners and fans. His work resonates with young, mid-life and sage older fans who appreciate some classic country sounds mixed with realities about life, judgment, weed, outlaws and fun. To be clear, while songs are heartfelt and deep, they are upbeat, toe-tapping and can be dance-laced with "Hell yeahs!"
His band is equally talented and fun, with a energetic riff producing lead guitarist, drummer, harmonizing bassist and killer steel-slide guitarist!
Cody and his band were all also very touched, flattered and moved by the sincere gratitude expressed by Friday night's fans, and they returned their own, sincere "thank yous."
Listen up, GO SEE THIS ARTIST!
Holy crap!!!! I expected an incredible evening and was given just that. This was my first time at the Town Ballroom. What a perfect venue!!! This was also my first time seeing any of the acts. Tennessee Jack and The Steel Woods set the perfect tone for what was to come. Cody Jinks and his band were beyond amazing!!! I hope this becomes a regular event. Either way, I will be back to the Town Ballroom for other shows and I will travel to see Cody Jinks play if I have to. His true down-home guy you would like to have a few beers personality, his deep and insightful lyrics and his pure delivery makes him a must see for any real country fan.
One of the best concerts I’ve attended thus far and I attend concerts on a regular basis. He voice is amazing and his audience has more than doubled in the last 2 years for a reason. He is in touch with his fans and is a very humble man and it shows on stage. He interacts with the audience and the performance is top notch. He never disappointments! I can’t wait to see Cody Jinks again!
Cody Jinks always delivers. A must see if he comes to a venue near you.
Crystal Ballroom is a nice venue in Portland, but it was uncomfortably hot. Fans & even a/c were going lbut it was just not enough. I know this is probably unavoidable, so you just have to tough it out, or only go to shows when it is not 95 degrees. Staff at the Crystal Ballroom was great.
Great atmosphere and authentic bands who love to play. Cody explaining his songs made his songs mean so much more to me. I never payed attention to Vampires lyrics before but that song I needed so bad in my life right now and helped me make a life choice I have been struggling with.
Great show good to hear country music is still alive! Songs wrote by Paul Cauthens and Cody were pretty good too. Only thing I wish is Cody could've sang all night! Theater was pretty cool too first time there early 1900's theater. Don't build em like that any more.
This was the first time I have been able to catch Cody Jinks live and he did not disappoint. What an amazing voice live! Only wish he had sung "Grey". I will definitely watch his future tour dates. Definitely one of the best shows I have seen all year!!
I have seen him twice in concert now and he puts on a fantastic show. He connects with the audience. The sound was great. High energy.
And a huge bonus was I met and talked with his dad at the show. What a great man. And so proud of Cody!
First concert of cody jinks. Definitely will be more if he ever comes back to Oklahoma. I saw him at a small casino event room. It was a really badass show. Especially his opening acts. Tennessee Jets and Paul Cauthen were really good.
