Sometimes compromises must be made and as much as I hate to say it, this was the best compromise I have ever made!

Torn between seeing a Hip Hop act or coming to see Black Spiders, my friends and I, had argued and debated for weeks on end with no result. So the way we decided to do it was the regular way, the way that remains cliche to this day, yes, we drew straws. I was the first to draw straws and just as a cosmic joke it was incredibly short, as my luck would have it, it was definitely the short straw, so now I was being made to go and watch a band I knew nothing about and knowing that they made hard rock music, was doing them no favours in my books.

Arriving to the concert I saw many individuals that you would assume were big fans of rock music and a few others who just looked like the casual listener.... I was not in my element and I was feeling more and more uncomfortable by the minute, but I shouldn't have, I was about to have the best experience of my life!

The Black Spiders took to the stage and the audience stomped in their presence, shouting, whistling all sorts of noises that the mind can imagine, yes that noise, the one you're thinking of, it was made, in fact it was made twice!

They performed the song 'balls' and I just instantly fell in love with them, they aren't your stereotypical rock band, they are different! nothing about their sound is generic, if they were making a movie about my life, 'balls' would be the intro song! The audience went crazy, singing the chorus with such passion and energy and jumping around like the floor was a massive trampoline, the energy levels arose like eagles in the morning!

I recommend all to see this band live, as they have just earned themselves a life long fan, they were excellent!
