Big Gigantic

Big Gigantic blend together huge electronic beats, distinctive bass lines and memorable synthesizer melodies with a live tenor saxophone. They are made up of Manhattan School of Music Alumnus, Dominic Lalli on the saxophone, who takes care of the production duties, alongside Jeremy Salken on the drums and percussion.

They have seen a lot of success releasing their debut full-length studio album in 2009 entitled “Fire it Up”, featuring the infectious songs “Nocturnal” and “Hopscotch”, and in turn earning the band some worthy critical acclaim.

They have played at many different festivals including Firefly Music Festival, Wakarusa, Ultra Music Festival, All Good Music Festival, Electric Forest Festival, Lollapalooza, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, among many more.

This band puts a great deal of energy and thought into their live show, from choice of lighting to stage design, which makes this whole performance a sensory experience for patrons. They have toured the USA on multiple occasions and have visited countries such as the UK and Australia, continuing to build their audience with this unforgettable show.

Both members have side projects and other endeavours that they are involved in, such as Jam/Electronica groups, Disco Biscuits and Underground Orchestra. They have only played a couple of one-off live shows. Most recently, Big Gigantic has collaborated with Griz and Gramatik to form Big Grizmatik too, which is a project very similar to Big Gigantic, but with a live electric guitar, duelling with Lalli’s saxophone, creating some exciting textures.

With all of the above added to the mixing pot, and having performed at the prestigious Red Rocks, Colorado, last year, the sky is the limit for Big Gigantic.
