Deaf Havana

This Norfolk based band have been on the rise in recent years, including their first American tour this year. They can pack out huge tents at festivals, with hundreds cramming in to hear their favourite songs, it’s always great to hear so many singing “we’re all fools and worthless liars’ along with lead singer James. This lyric is from my favourite song giving their 2011 album it’s name. Deaf Havana are also able to hold the attention of an audience on the main stage, and of course at their headlining shows with so many fans who’ve been with them from the start. A newer favourite is ‘22’, catchy and fun but with real raw emotion which you can hear even more in the live performances. The great bonus of seeing them live on their own tour is the jokes and stories that come with so many guys being on stage, which in itself is humorous when you see them playing the smaller venues! You do wonder if someone will get pushed off! This band bring together great music and a great sense of reality. These are real guys, living real lives, in the real world. They are not sucked in to the media frenzy and hoping for fame. That is not why they make their music and they won’t let that decide what their music should sound like. They will continue to be the people they were born to be, and that includes bringing us great music!
