t is with sadness that we have to announce the closure of The Luminaire and The King's Head on 31st December. It's been a labour of love for a while now, and at this point it makes no sense for us to continue. We hope to be able to do some final farewell shows, probably in late March, and we'll let you know about those through the usual channels. To all those who supported this independent venue, and the great artists who played here, since we opened back on 1st March 2005; you have our grateful thanks. We were nothing without you. Andy, John and all at The Luminaire The Luminaire is a 275 capacity music venue in Kilburn, North London. It opened its doors in 2005 in the hope of creating a live music space with the emphasis on taking good care of the performing artists and respecting the musicians as they play. Since opening, the venue has since won 'Venue Of The Year' awards from Time Out and Music Week. The Luminaire is a mostly 18+ venue, is a four minute walk from Kilburn underground station (Jubilee Line) and 45 seconds from Brondesbury Overland Station. There is a bar and (very limited) seating area upstairs. Because the venue is located on the first floor, there is restricted disabled access, though The Lumianire aims to accommodate all and suggests calling in advance so easy access can be arranged.
