The Tabernacle is a 2,600 capacity music venue in Atlanta, Georgia. Addtionally, Tabernacle hosts comedy and events. The venue is located at 152 Luckie Street with hotels and parking nearby. The building has four floors with seating available on the first and second balconies. Smoking is forbidden in the venue and photography is permitted depending on the artists. The Tabernacle was opened in 1910 as The Broughton Tabernacle by Dr. Leonard Gaston Broughton. Broughton started a medical centre, with a three bed infirmary and a Baptist church. The congregation relocated in the 1980s and the Tabernacle remained unused until 1996, when it was converted to a House of Blues club for the Summer Olympics. Since then the venue has transferred ownership and is currently owned by Live Nation.
