Tour name: Bigger Than Barry presents

Rolling into Leeds once again this Autumn, Bigger Than Barry serve up one of dubstep’s brightest new stars, London boy Joker.

A pioneer of what he calls the Purple sound, joker favours crystalline, computerised melodies, wobbly bottom ends and big synth lines in his music do date for labels like Tectonic Recordings, Hyperdub and Kapsize Recordings. Now harder to pigeon hole – is it grime, hip-hop, dubstep? – Britolian Joker is still on the rise courtesy of a hot full length and collaborations with some of UK bass music’s greatest talents.

If you like basslines and parties, you know second headliners Tomb Crew. With their blend of b-more, dubstep, 2-step and other jump-up sounds, they are masters of making the dance floor move and do so with their own productions and remixers of the likes of Totally Extinct Dinosaurs for labels like Greco Roman.

The chance to see Joker do his bass thing on a system as amazing as that which belongs to Mint Club is a rare treat, don’t miss out.
