  • Moby was great as usual. First two acts not nearly as strong. At least the opening act was brief. But what was most annoying for me was the live auction fundraiser between Crystal Method and Moby. I get it; I was at a fundraiser for kids, but it got really old really fasts! Enhance the silent auction or do it all on line ! It got so late I had to leave the venue after four Moby numbers.

  • What a great show, and a great opportunity to see Moby at a small and intimate venue like The Echo. He opened with a few songs from Everything was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt which were all great, and he also played a lot of his well known songs and hits from the past. All good, and happy to be there.

  • Richard Melville Hall better known by his stage name Moby is considered to be an innovator of electro. Since his first self titled release in 1992, the musician has developed and altered his sound whilst incorporating a number of genres that you would not necessarily associate with electro music.

Achieving his major commercial success in the late 90s, Richard has now crafted a live show that incorporates this popular material along with what he considers to be his best work. He has also been touring relentlessly which has allowed him to develop the lighting, stage setup and supporting musicians to create an all consuming dance experience.

The man himself acts as a conductor of sorts as he weaves in and out of the other components moving between vocals, drums and various other instruments. He has no issue in baiting the adoring crowd and keeps them dancing through the whole ethereal show. The exaggerated tones of 'Porcelain' and 'Go' are evidence enough that Moby truly is a modern day icon of alternative electro/dance.
